Thor, WTB, and GOS lay down to sleep, when they heard an
awful shrieking pierce the night.
"What was that?" asked GOS.
"It sounded ter me an awful lot like Dark," the mighty Thunder god
said.
WTB strapped on his armor and prepared for battle.
"I suggest you do the same," he said to GOS. The three readied for
battle. It is always best to stay aware. In the land of gods and monsters,
one never knows what will happen.
With a flurry of wings, Dark parted the treeline and touched down in
front of the trio. Thor's hammer was clutched in his fist, ready for battle.
Thor was the first to strike, "TAKE THAT YER GREAT OX-LOVER!!!!" bellowed
Thor, his hammer connecting right with Dark's abdominal region. Lightning
and thunder coincided with the strike of Mjollnir, and Dark doubled over
in pain. Just when the generals were ready to advance on him, they could
see that Dark was laughing!
"Was that a love tap? I'm flattered!" screeched Dark, slapping Thor
away like a piece of paper. The Thunder god must have taken down 30 trees
in his fall.
Bellowing a mighty war cry, WTB and GOS went right for the great beast's
ankles. WTB went left and hacked away with the sword of Ares, and GOS
was slashing at Dark's right foot. But, to no avail, the demon was laughing.
He kicked the two generals away with enough force to stop an eighteen-wheeler.
Dark picked up Thor and started to squeeze. Just when the red-headed norseman
thought he had enough, the group heard a booming voice cut the darkness.
"GO, PROTECT MY SON!! FALLEN WARRIORS, UNITE TO DEFEAT THIS MENACE!!!"
and a portal opened up near Dark.
The sound of trumpets blaring was welcome. The heroes could see, through
the portal, a great hall filled with flags, beer, and food. Tables stretched
for miles in every direction. Warrior after warrior poured out, to take
on Dark. The Einherjars were numerous, hacking and slashing, all while
blowing a battle horn that shook the ground. Dark fended them off with
his free hand, sweeping left and right. But as soon as one Einherjar was
taken down, three more took his place and the wounds healed by the power
of Odin.
"LET GO OF MY SON, THOR!!!!" a thunderous voice boomed. The air was
sliced with a whistle and a huge spear, Grungnir, knocked Dark backwards.
He dropped the son of Odin, and was pushed down by the dead of Valhalla.
Dark's shrieks of pain were a glorious sound.
"You think you have seen the last of me? Fools!!!" Dark screamed. He
shrugged off the advancing warriors and took off into the night. The warriors
laughed and danced, blew their horns and retreated back into the halls
of Valhalla to feast on their victory.
Meanwhile, the generals and Thor tried to heal their wounds, ever hoping
that Dark would not return anytime soon...
After they ran in with Dark WTB, GOS and Thor were extra careful to
not run in with any other people who they would be slowed down with.
They started to go to WTB's camp site to meet up with the other generals
so they started to go.
On the way to get to the camp they ran into ten of Dark's minions they
thought they were in trouble but they remembered that they had run in
to cyclops so they had more confidents that they would win. Thor picked
up his mighty hammer and smashed two of them to the ground WTB got his sword
and sliced two minions in two and GOS got his sword and slashed it in two
minions and they were smashed into a tree. The fighting continued as Thor,
WTB and GOS smashed, slashed and cut the minions down two by two. The fighting
went on, one of the strongest minions took his club and hit GOS very hard
with it, GOS fell to the ground, the minion was about to slam his club right
into GOS' face but WTB acted quickly and went behind the minion and punched
his sword right into his back, the blood was running so hard that had Thor,WTB
and GOS won. The brave warriors and god rested for the next day to begin.
The generals at the gate celebrated. The blood of Armagedon slowly
drained away into the soil. Then a horrible sound was heard. One of cracking
bones and maggots eating the flesh of some great beast. The generals and
the army took arms and readied themselves. Then they saw the source of
the noise. Armagedon and his entire body was covered in black worms. Without
faces. Groping and linking. Then finally it stopped. Armagedon was gone.
But the soil was blacker then night. Slowly the darkness grew. Then the earth
exploded. The massive form of Armagedon reappeared. Larger and more powerful
then ever. The battle recommenced. The soldiers and generals mercilessly
hacked and slashed at him. The mighty Titanly powers of Rhea joining the
fight. Again the horrible beast was slain. His body was mutilated. But it
didn't stay hat way. Again the horrible worms reformed him. And so the battle
commenced again. And he was re-born. Stronger then ever. This continued.
Armagedon was slain several times. But each time the worms consumed him and
he was re-born. Never stopping.
Armagedon started to laugh. But it wasn't his booming voice. Instead
it was a voice that was ancient and broken. Broken and rasping he laughed.
Then he stood there each time the generals would kill him he would become
stronger. He was committing suicide over and over again. Then he fled. Vanishing
into the night. The ground upon which he traveled was poisoned and dead.
The generals were dumb struck. One of the sentries on the wall ran up to
the generals.
"Sirs, I saw something before the Armagedon was revived. A tiny star
fell from the sky and struck his body. Then the transformation we saw
began."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Meanwhile~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
IF and Morgoth travelled just out of sight of the black birds. IF made
a startling discovery.
"Those are Phoenix!!! We must get in closer."
IF brought out his crystal and the 4 were covered in light.
"Should they be minions of Dark they will be none the wiser of our
approach."
As IF and morgoth sped up so did the figures. But IF was ready and
he purged them of Dark. But instead the beam struck IF and morgoth and
they hurtled into ocean. The 4 figures did the same.
"My god they are mirrors of us!!" Morgoth exclaimed.
"And that means whatever they do we do and vice versa. Damn you Dark!"
The 4 figures refused to swim. They were somehow more powerful then
IF and morgoth. Slowly all 4 plunged into the depths of the sea.
After Thor, WTB and GOS ran into some of Dark's minions they
thought that they killed all of them but when they started to leave one
of his minions was still alive and he over heard WTB tell Thor and that
their camp is close so if they don't waste time they might be there in
time. One of Dark's flying minions left to Dark when Thor, WTB and GOS
left for WTB's camp. When Dark found out that there camp was close to were
the battle was. Dark popped into the air and headed to there camp. When
he got there they were still asleep so Dark slammed his leg into the ground
and with a loud BOOOOOOM! Everyone woke up and got out of there tents with
there armor on Thor, WTB and GOS finally got to there camp and the saw Dark
there ready to go medieval on the other generals. Thor quickly picked up
his might hammer and slammed Dark with it. Dark fell to the ground and Thor
hit him three times with his hammer, Dark got pushed into the ground so much
he almost hit the core, that was just enough time for them to get away quickly.
When Dark finally got out from the ground they were gone. The brave generals
rode away with three chariots. Dark was pretty pissed right now and half
of his minions in the area were wiped out so in a way he was on his own.
By seing WTB and GOS destroying Dark's army, DIEX_AYE a commander from
Phrygia led his Hypaspists and Peltasts after the will of Hades to meet
Dark and reinforce his armies in order to crush WTB's evil plots.
From the log of general DIEX: I've found Dark's army routed by the
forces of WTB and GOS. The half dead general couldn't even speak to us,
we were all afraid of being dead already.... DIEX saw Dark's body to be
vaporised and entering the dark realm of Anubis as his minions turned against
DIEX's army!!!
Flames worked in the underworld camp. Afraid of the return of the ever
reviving Armageddon and his nearly invincible master Dark, Flames worked
harder. The generals were united and so waited for POW. The great Rhea
stood gaurd. Then Amageddon sprang without a sound at Rhea. Then with a
mighty leap Armaggedon tried to stab Rhea with his spider-like back legs.
Rhea dodged and with a mighty bash Armageddon was smashed into the ground.
The he got up and inserted his spider-like back legs into her head. Something
was bieng pumped into Rhea and she fell unconscious. Then Armageddn leaped
out of sight...
Diex knew that after Flames' victory over Armagedon he could assemble
a sizeable band to attack him. And so DIEX ordered his troops to settle
near where Dark's army had been slaughtered. He asked for Hades to give
him 4 walking Sentinels for better defensive stance and ordered his Peltasts
to be employed upon the newly built crenellations. His hypaspists grabbed
their bows (historically speaking, hypaspists used to have a small bow) and
employed them with the peltasts. The mist fell upon the settlement, Flames
couldn't be far away.
"Generals, an army has been spotted." said a scout.
"Then let us fight!" said pm2k
No... Diex would not stay hidden and wait for the alliance to find him
and slaughter him. “Peltasts get ready... Hypaspists employed at the Towers...
two Ballistas at the front gate and the Sentinels at the four wallings,”
he shouted. The mist continues and the enemy army cannot be observed correctly.
Diex doesn't know if this army is with or against him. However there is
a strong feeling that Flames is here to crush him. Flames troops must increase
their efforts to take this Fort.
"I have made you a puppet!" said Dark's voice, ringing through Rhea's
ears.
PR (Puppet Rhea) awoke. "Heh...hhaah! Rea screamed. She darted at the
camp at a great speed. At arrival at the camp she leaped on a soldier and
sliced the soldier's throat....
WTB's army appeared as the mist fell. At least 30 yards away we saw
WTB with white flag in order to negotiate their surrender. Diex now is
unsure about the outcome of the siege. But something strange marked the
white flag, long dried blood...
IF found himself in a room with a vaulted ceiling vanishing into the
darkness. Not even the light of his crystal could allow him to see into
its depths. The bed upon which he lay was comfortable. Could that have all
been a dream... the banishing of Atlantis, the strange mirror images? No
it couldn't have been... A new set of robes stood in the corner, glistening
as if covered in diamond dust, the symbol of Set in pitch black marked the
front. Connecting the room was three doors. IF closed his eyes and reached
with his spirit to see the near-future. Each of the doors led somewhere.
One lead into a long and endless tunnel. The door was set to lock, the floor
to drop once he stepped in. Another held a monstrous beast, hungry and vicious.
Behind it only a wall. The 3rd door was a mystery. IF knew only that something
horrible resided behind it. The vaulted ceiling was to high for IF to know
precisely. To see behind the 3rd door IF summoned a massive lion of sand and
ordered into the door. The Lion charged through the door and disappeared.
IF waited about a minute and the lion returned. Only it returned as a small
little swirl of sand, charred and burned. Knowing the only way was up IF began
his ascent standing atop a swirling tornado. The entire tunnel was dark.
Suddenly IF found himself in a room with several shade like beings awaiting
him. IF grabbed his staff.
"Do not worry," said one of the shades, "eat, the master will see you
soon." With that all of the shades disappeared. Leaving IF alone in the
banquet hall. He had so many questions that he needed answered. But no one
to ask. So he began to eat. His powers were exhausted and so was he.
As he indulged in the delicious food he was suspicious. Something about
this place disturbed him.
IF ate wondering when he could answer his questions. Then one of the
shades came in carrying a tray of deserts.
"Shade!! Where is morgoth!?"
"Morgoth is taking his test... just as you had." The shade placed the
tray on the table and dematerialized falling through the floor.
Morgoth was in a huge stone chamber. As stone faces stared down from
the massive walls, morgoth felt a shiver go through his spine.
What was going on?
Morgoth remembered falling from the sky . . . then this.
Walking down the room, he came to a wall with three doors. Uncertain
of what to do, he sat and began to consider his next move.
As DIEX and 2 of his troops were scouting the area suddenly the ground
opened and the 3 men fell inside. They came out but only to find there were
before 3 doors and a man with his back to them. This man might me Morgoth.
DIEX and his men didn't knew what to do. But they had to do something for
Morgoth could turn his head at any time.
A snow storm scattered the generals after they escaped the underworld.
pm2k was left in a narrow canyon pass. His men were badly injured, the lieutenant
was snow blind, many men were frost bitten and many good men were missing.
Still, their leader rallied them and built a bonfire. The army was going
to rest and heal their wounded, but the forces of evil are not easily foiled.
"General!" cried the scout Tathos ",campfires!". Pm2k looked out the
scout's tower and saw blackish-purple fires burning among the white snow.
"Those are Dark's men!" he exclaimed. "FORTIFY THE PASS!" he yelled
to his men as he leaped off the tower, "DARK'S MINIONS WILL SOON BE HERE!".
The men fervently worked to make a wall of stakes in the entrance to the
canyon.
"BRAVE MEN OF ITHICA!" yelled pm2k. "HERE WE STAND, OUT NUMBERED A HUNDRED
TO ONE, THIS MAY WELL BE OUR LAST BATTLE!" The men were worried, their leader
never lied. Still, he continued, his eyes ablaze, "THOUGH OUR BONES MAY
LIE HERE FOR ALL ETERNITY, THE CHILDREN OF HELLAS WILL ONE DAY SIT AROUND
THEIR CAMPFIRES AND SAY TO THEIR FATHERS, 'tell us the story of the great
battle versus Dark! We want to here about the brave psychomonkey2000 and
how he and his men held off ten-thousand men in the canyon pass!'" psychomonkey2000's
soldiers now had the same ferocious look in their eyes as their leader.
"FOR WE WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN! WE WILL STAND HERE IN THIS PASS, AND FACE
THE FURY OF DARK, WE WILL STAY HERE AND FIGHT!" he shouted. "URRRAHHH!" yelled
pm2k.
His men, bursting with pride, replied "URRRAHHH!!”
“Get me my spear." said pm2k to his herald, "it is time."
Dark's troops marched upon the pass, they were ten-thousand strong,
and the were thinking of an easy victory, but victory does not come easily.
The first two waves of troops fell into the snow trap set by pm2k's men,
they sunk to the bottom of a deep ravine. Then the enemy tried to place
ladders across the faux ground, but they were shot down by pm2k's toxotes
positioned on the cliff. Then, once the bridge was placed, the enemy cavalry
charged. A squad of pm2k's men in the front retreated, and the enemy cavalry
followed, only to see that the shield wall continued into the gap, they
ran headlong into the 'coward's' spears. The enemy archers tried to bombard
pm2k's infantry, but the shield wall held tight. There was no choice but
to charge with the infantry. No sooner had the enemy legions run half way,
they were crushed by falling snow pushed by the toxotes. Finally, the enemy
stopped sending in the cannon fodder and sent the entire horde in, a screaming
mass.
"RELEASE FORMATION!" yelled pm2k, his hoplites obeyed and broke the
defensive formation and leaped out screaming war cries. The battle was
long and hard, pm2k's men fought with the strength of the gods, and many
of the enemy fled from pm2k, thinking he was Ares himself. But they were
too badly outnumbered. Pm2k's men were being pushed back steadily, and
pm2k himself was injured so badly he had to be dragged to the medic's tent.
But his men still fought on, even after the entrance to the canyon walls
was lost and the toxotes fell dead, their blood staining the white snow.
pm2k returned, and he helped his men gain back some ground, but he was pierced
by an arrow of evil. He staggered back to the tents and called for his lieutenant
Xantos. "Friend Xantos" gasped pm2k, "I will not make it..."
"Sir! You will live!" cried the lieutenant as he pulled out the arrow,
a black shaft with bloody red feathers.
"Do not pretend... death is... inevitable..." moaned pm2k. "Take my
things... give them.... to the other... generals," he sputtered. "Take
my head... give it to... flames..." he gasped. "Tell the men... to not give
up... you... are... general... I have... son..." gasped the dying general.
"A son?" asked the liuetenant.
"Yes... named... Ale-” pm2k never finished his sentence, he had died
of the poisoned arrow that had pierced his chest. General Xantos strode out
of the tent, those near could not tell whether or not he was crying, but
he obeyed the dead hero, and distributed the general's objects. But one thing
is known. Not one Hellene fled, they faced the storm. And though they now
rest in Elysium, they had triumphed.
Morgoth heard something behind him and quickly turned his head. Behind
him were three men advancing upon him.
"Who are you?"
"I am Diex_Aye, enemy of WTB."
"I don't have time to deal with you. Go away and leave me be."
With that, morgoth opened his vial of sand and let loose its contents.
The sand formed a small army of scorpions which backed Diex and his men
into a corner.
"Now, back to the doors."
Deciding that it really didn't matter which door he chose, Morgoth opened
the one on the far left.
With a shriek, an Anubite came hurtling from the roof. Swiftly grabbing
out, he caught it by the neck. It laughed as he snapped it's neck.
More Anubites came from the roof.
"Stay put." Morgoth told Diex as the sand-scorpions lost their forms
and were blasted into the anubites' mouths, turning them to sand from the
inside out. The scorpions reformed to guard the strangers.
"What's behind door number two?"
Behind it, the room was empty except for a stone switch.
"I wonder what this does . . ."Morgoth muttered as he flicked it with
his staff.
With a lurch, the roof began to sink. Not at all worried, Morgoth placed
his staff firmly on the ground, stopping the ceiling.
"Step 2."
With a blast of hot air, Morgoth replaced the ceiling.
"Door number 3. Oh goody."
In the room was a mirror. Looking inside, his mirror image grinned.
"Guess who?"
"I don't have time for this," Morgoth muttered and stepped into the
mirror. "My time with the power of Chaos has taught me a lot about myself.
My strengths and weaknesses. If you are me, this should quickly dispatch
of you."
With a series of quick gestures, the mirror version of himself was lying
in the sand dead.
"Easy enough."
Morgoth re-entered the chamber and walked back across it. A shades rose
out of the floor.
"That was highly unorthodox and against the rules." it shrieked.
"I don't follow rules. I bend them, I break them, I ignore them. Now
I'd like to know who's rules."
"Your friend did quite admirably. Didn't cheat."
"Sounds like IF. I'd like to see him."
"Highly unorthodox! I'll have to discuss this with my master."
The shade disappeared. Morgoth looked briefly over at Diex and his men,
sighed, and recalled his sand. All there was was to wait.
The mouth of the dead general pm2k opened and spoke to flames. "General
and friend." said the head, "twelve times I will speak, no more, listen
to my words, for the words of the dead will save mankind."
IF had filled himself on the plentiful banquet and was now extremely
impatient to see morgoth and the so called master. A shade popped up from
the floor.
"You're friend isn't very law abiding. You may have to wait longer then
we first planned to see your friend."
"I do not have time for this slimes!"
"You are going to wait. It is only proper."
"I am cautious. Not law abiding. I only use my powers when necessary.
Now lead me to him!"
"No..."The shade vanished.
Dusk was coming and Zalpacuiztli walked quickly heading to the camp,
his army following him.
"You seem upset sir," said a Greek captain. "What troubles you?"
"Look at the sky, and tell me what you see."
The soldier lifted his head for a moment as he walked
"Just the night my lord, but could you read it for me?"
"A new star has arisen, the star of a hero."
"So it means that a mighty warrior has fallen!"
"Yes, I fear that psychomonkey2000 fulfilled his fight against Dark,
but not his fight against death"
"And what will be of us now sir? Will we continue with the remains of
our allies"
"I fear not, since now only dutchpower remains, and I don't trust him,
he is a liar and often makes false stories for his benefit, so we may continue
alone, I have some pendants"
They came to the camp, they took food and all what they needed, Zalp
called for his centaurs, cyclopses and collossi, they were ready when a
distant shape appeared under the stars, a man running towards them. Judgim
for his clothes Zalp knew that he was one of pm2k's men.
"General!-Said the man-I am a humble servant of your ally psychomonkey2000,
I come with great gifts but also with bad news."
"Proceed."
"The sword of our mighty lord has been broken, he could achieve our
victory, but not his own, with big pain and grossness in my hearth I give
this to you, for it was the will of my master."
The man gave Zalp a bulk that he was carrying. Then he unwrapped it,
showing what was inside.
"Here are the generous gifts of my lord-said the man as he lifted and
presented the objects one by one- a gold crafted sword, a spear with the
tip of the finest bronze, the armour of the great king Achilles and finally
the bow of the wise warrior Odysseus."
"Thank you, may your master be blessed for this act of generosity, and
fair winds for his brave men!"
The emissary lowed his head, turned around and ran, back to where he
came.
"We shall depart too, with our hearts heavy though, but the time has
never been our ally and there is plenty to do."
DIEX and his 2 men grabbed their swords and attacked Morgoth. The fighting
lasted for only a few minutes. Over and over one or two men were flying
away after being blasted with sand or pure energy. Finally Diex had to withdraw
from the battle since Morgoth could slaughter all of them if he continued....
The hole was closing when they finally leaped through. They went back to
the camp, the Phrygian forces realized that there is no food. Not even horses
on the hardest. They stuck in those wooden wallings, with an army approaching
and without food... the siege could be harder than they thought.
The shade returned. "You must wait."
"I'm sorry, I don't play games. Where's IF?"
"On the other side of that wall. But, as you can see, you can't get
through that way."
Morgoth gave a sharp, bitter laugh. Putting his hand upon the wall,
it crumbled to dusk, allowing him to see IF sitting at a banquet table.
"Hey, IF. Diex was here, but the coward ran away. This place is really
annoying me."
Rhea, after killing the soldier retreated. She was still a puppet. Flames
took pm2k's head and put it in the tent. The dead eyes of pm2k frightened
him but he knew he was friend despite the strangeness...
Zalp and his army were walking near a cliff when a gigantic silhouette
appeared and then disappeared in a glimpse.
"Another Titan sir?" Asked the Greek soldier.
"Yes, it seems so," Answered Zalp.
"Shall we look for it and kill it?"
"I guess not, at least not for now."
They passed the cliff and then they saw some men near to the entrance
of a big gate.
"Greetings warrior of the sand how much has it been since the last time!"
Zalp saluted his ally.
"An honor to have you here," said Flames. "Though I receive you with
great pain for the loose of our friend, we eager await for your help, tell
me please, how shall we close the gate? With weapons or with magic?"
"Nor weapons nor magic will be used in here, for there is a wiser way
to do it"
"How?"
"As you know Hades favors me, we are friends of old, so it will be much
more easier to enter the Underworld and speak to him, he may close the
gate for us and clear some questions by the way.”
"Then we will face the darkness of the Underworld, you must have in
mind that the places below the earth are dangerous and unknown and terrible
things wander there"
"It is true that the Underworld is terribly dark, but also dark this
world has become, so you may not note the difference at all, I shall protect
you and so will Hades."
"Then we should depart, but not before we celebrate our brave friend
who sacrificed his own life for the future of this world."
So they all, together, prepared the funeral rites and sang and cried
the name of their friend for the rest of the night.
Diex escaped back to his camp. The fatigued soldiers were ready to disband!!
Diex had to lie to his soldiers for they couldn't obey anymore. Finally
the captains agreed to attack the enemy before they got to the wall. The
men grabbed their melee weaponry and launched their attack upon the asleep
enemy soldiers. WTB and Flames flanks ambushed and even if they were terribly
more than the puny regiment of Phrygia they had to call for retreat to the
second trench. This gave Diex the opportunity to march to Dardanelles where
he could either perish or emerge a soldier great enough to capture one of
the most fortified cities in the sea of Marmara.
Dardanelles fell to the enemy. Diex was now ruler of Propontis and waited
for Flames to get back. He was sure Flames would want revenge for the ambush
so the fortification must be fixed. Towers were armed with Ballista's, Helepoli
at the crenellations and the male population had been conscripted. The
entire army of DIEX was about; 150 Heavy Hypaspists, 100 Heavy Peltasts,
40 Heavy Hetairoi and 4 Sentinels
The mist fells before the battlefield. Flames army appeared on the horizon...
"You need not tell me anything morgoth. I saw all you did. But I fear
someone else is seeing all we do..."
A shade popped out of the wall.
"The master is ready to see you Priest and Pharaoh."
The three walked through long corridors. Down winding stairs. Passed
gates of all sizes and materials. The palace was vast. Courtyards, gardens,
fountains and trees. Thousands of shades were milling about. Finally they
came to a massive gate. One half was made of pure black obsidian, the other
in white marble. The entire gate was inlaid with gold and magic symbols,
the runes were active. Sending off a small green glow.
The shade began to make movements with his ectoplasm arms. The opening
was going slowly.
"I have had enough of this!"
Morgoth put his hand on the door. IF bellowed to stop but it was too
late. Morgoth let loose a mighty blast. One that would have shattered any
door. But instead the docile runes turned red. The entire force of the blast
was reflected back onto morgoth. Morgoth hurtled down the corridor and
slammed into a wall leaving a massive indent. The runes went back to their
docile green glow. Morgoth picked himself up. Only a bruise and a scratch
could be seen upon him.
"I warned you morgoth. Your impatience will be your down fall."
The shade continued his ritual as if nothing had happened. Finally the
door cracked open. IF and morgoth stepped inside. There sitting in a mighty
throne was a man. A very old man. His beard was long and white. White light
radiated from his body constantly.
"Master the two Egyptians have come..."
The shade disappeared.
"So you have seen the power of that door? Of course you have. And that
blast was like trying to break a wall of Meteoric Steel 30 meters thick
with a pine needle!" the figure laughed. IF and morgoth stared in amazement.
"And I bet you are wondering where you are and why you are here. You
are in Del Caminas and I am the King. We once were like the Atlanteans.
A very advanced culture, first children of the gods. We too faced Dark.
And that was why that type of door you faced was forged. To seal even the
awesome power of Dark forever. We banished him within one of these doors
that would seal him into another dimension. With only that door as an exit.
The power of the runes never fade and so the door could never be broken.
But before we could he sunk the city. All of the inhabitants died. Except
for me and a small royal guard. The entire city now lies below the waves.
And the shades of the dead live here still. In the castle and the town.
You were brought here for one reason. To use your powers to seal Dark again
into one of these doors. But this time we have made it stronger. And we
shall place it in yet another door so that no one will ever be able to obtain
it again. And here it is." The King of Del Caminas took a tiny amulet out
of his pocket. It was barely the size of a man's eye.
"That will seal Dark?"
"Size is no obstacle to the shades. They have labored for as long as
Dark was a threat again to make it. And it is very special. It absorbs energy
from other beings to make it even more resistant to Dark's power. So nearly
200 of our shades have poured their souls into it. Now Dark is powerless
against it."
"200........ But why us?"
"Because you are both very powerful in the magics needed to open it.
And because you have strengths against Dark that will weaken him sufficiently
to trap him, along with your allies of course... And now, Delak! Show these
two how to open the gate."
"Yes sire. Come with me."
IF and morgoth followed the shade to a secret room where he taught IF
and morgoth how to use the gate. None of them knew how much time had passed.
But finally they had mastered the gate. Both of them. Morgoth left to retire
to a bed. But IF still had questions and left to ask the King Del Camanis.
Deep in Hades was the gloomy king himself. His chest was open and was
bleeding. Then Hades awoke. His wounds were healed and he looked around
at his servants. They were all graphically killed by Dark. Then Hades sensed
something. One of his favored ones was coming...
Meanwhile, Flames now knew of the enemy Diex through communication of
IF. Flames decided to attack Diex while the others handle the Gate. He then
started to work. His army got larger and larger and soon he would crush Diex...
The men came up to defend the wall. Hypaspists grabbed their bows and
the Peltasts switched to javelins. The enemy approached. Flames' troops
grabbed their ladders and started the attack. Catapults and siege weaponry
fired to each other, ladders broke, Sentinels fell to their end, Flames'
troops had to take the city or they would loose nearly all the siege equipment.
Ares favored by the troops of Diex gave a gift to Diex and his troops. The
gift of Titanium weapons and especially to Diex the sword of Deimos and a
Titanium shield that belonged to Ajax. For the whole day, the 2 generals and
their armies fought upon the walls. At the end of the day, Flames sounded
a retreat for the night...
Flames was angry about the defeat of his army. He made it back to camp.
Then while working to create an army Set's voice was heard inside Flames'
head. "So you lost... I will give you assistance.... I shall revive Sun
Feather.." said Set. SF was revived and after a few weeks Flames marched
to Diex' base again.
"DIEX...NOW I SHALL DESTROY YOU!" said Flames in a loud voice. Diex did
not reply and Falmes and his army charged....
The armies clashed. Flames' slingers pummeled the outer infantry defense.
Diex slashed through all the defenses and his shield blocked the projectiles.
Flames on SF swooped down burning 6-7 soldiers in the process. Flaming arrows
showered upon the armies. Hundreds of soldiers were skewered. Spears held
back the more powerful Hippikons and Prodromos. Eventully the cavalry exploded
through the spears and poured to the archers and slingers. Flames burned
a few cavalry soldiers and horses then continued. The battle continued for
days. Eventually all the soldiers were killed. Only Flames and Diex were on
the field. Flames ordered his phoenix back for a one on one battle with Diex...
Flames drew his spear. It was glowing with radiant energy. Diex drew his
Sword Of Deimos and his shield. "You fool... you wish to defeat me in combat?"
said Diex confidently.
"I have ordered my phoenix away so I can smite you fairly," said Flames.
"I'd like to see you try to defeat me," said Diex.
"I will not try... I SHALL SUCCEED!" exclaimed Flames. He lunged at Diex.
Diex blocked with his shield and countered with a slash. Flames jumped backward,
dodging the slash. Then he jabbed again this time hitting. Diex was blown
back, bleeding. He ran at Flames and kept slashing as he ran. Flames kept
jumping back avoiding every slash but he realized Diex was too fast with
his slashes. Flames was slashed in the left part of his face. The cold wind
stung the bleeding wound. He then ran at Diex. Diex expected him to do a full
frontal jab. Flames surprised him by jumping over and hitting him with the
butt of his spear ferociously, Diex was hit hard. He fell back. Flames was
ready to stab Diex. He jabbed his spear but Diex rolled out of the way. He
got up and bashed him with his titanium shield. Flames' jaw felt like it
was going to crack. He ran behind Diex and hit him hard with his elbow. Diex
then grabbed Flames' fingers and twisted. Flames got away from his grip and
then struck him with a double fist. The fight continued...
GOS and the rest of the generals were at here new camp after Dark had
destroyed their other camp. Thor went to the woods to get the generals and
himself something to eat. He came back with four rabbits, two deer and an
elk, everyone was very grateful for all his help. They quickly ate and went
to sleep.
The stalemate between Diex and Flames left no option for Diex other than
getting back to the motherland. There he would see king Priam and persuade
him to give a big regiment in order to follow Flames and the others deep
to the underworld lands and utterly defeat their ambushed flanks.
Flames departed on his phoenix and heads for home to heal his wounds and
prepare for the next battle.
Diex returned to motherland where he talked to king Priam of the destruction
of Dardanelles by Flames.
"This makes it political" Priam said. "We shall crush this incompetent
general. I shall give you a great army to accomplish this task," Priam gave
Diex the Eye of Ornlu, an amulet of which have a good impact on the Trojan
morale. He also gave him a sizable army consisting of 100 Champion Hypaspists,
70 Champion Peltasts and 30 Champion Hetairoi. Finally Ares granted Diex
the pestilence power. Diex was ready to march against Flames again. He crossed
Anatolia with the aid of the Trojans and finally reached Flames' village.
The Pestilence worked well... the buildings were full of bugs and dirtiness
and the entire population was full of sickness. Malaria, Lepra and Plague
fell upon the population. At the end, the Trojan forces burned the very last
building, killed the very last citizen. Then they burned the bodies so they
wouldn't be a threat anymore.
Diex got the most powerful army he had ever had for destroying Flames'
village. He arrived there and said to his army, "Everyone shall die, Muhahahahahahaha."
His army speared through the village like a hot knife through butter. They
blasted so much the brave generals heard it back at Greece.
At the end everyone who had lived there was dead. Diex decided to go after
Flames again now that he had a bigger army. They started off where they landed
at a road leading farther inland and in the ground before them, there were
two huge wheel tracks. They followed the tracks to a camp site, there was
a monstrous giant (Thor) that was sleeping they quickly went around the
camp site one of the warriors stepped on something and the noise was loud
it went CRACK!! The mighty Thor woke up as the rest of the generals woke
up with him, Diex said quickly, "GET THEM!!!!" All the warriors sprung into
action as Thor got out his hammer and one by one he hit them all as their
blood was flowing like a river. The rest of the generals went into battle
along with Thor. The rest of Diex's army was history. Then Thor left. Diex
wasn't mad at all. Little did the generals know there was an army right behind.
100 times larger than before!!!!
Dark was hovering over a river.
"This new general goal is to destroy the other generals." Dark said, then
he disappeared. He reappeared right behind Diex's army.
"Are you... Dark?" asked Diex, frightened.
"Yes," the evil said, "I have come to help you. But don't let it go to
your head, human! I will help you to destroy the generals once and for all.
But if you betray me I will rip you inside out!" said Dark. Then he rose
his hand. Then from the ground all of Dark's minions awoke. Then, with a blast
of speed, came Puppet Rhea. And from the black worms on the ground, Armageddon
formed. So with Diex, an astronomical army, all the minions, Armageddon, Puppet
Rhea, and Dark himself the armies marched to destroy the generals forever...
Morgoth was walking back to his room slowly, knowing the way, but feeling
something else was here . . . somewhere . . . . All of a sudden, he reached
out and grabbed a shade.
"Sir! How!?"
"You are energy, I manipulate energy."
"But I was invisible. How did you find me."
"I may not have IF's visionary powers, preventing me from seeing what
will happen or what's behind a door, but I do have powers. As I said, you
are energy. If you wish to observe me, don't waste your time hiding." The
two of them continued down the corridor in silence. They came to a point
where the hallway split. Morgoth turned to the left.
"Sir! Your room was to the right!"
"I know where my room is. There's something here though. I can feel it.
I want to know what," Morgoth stopped. Before him, the corridor twisted
in knots, seeming to break the laws governing the world. Picking up a pebble,
he threw it forwards and watched it sink through the floor.
"You should turn back, sir. This way is not meant for you."
"No, I'll continue."
"You should listen to master IF, sir. Recklessness will be your undoing."
Morgoth laughed and picked up another pebble. Gazing briefly at the twisted
corridor, he threw it. The pebble bounced off of something and disappeared
through a wall. Morgoth through again and again, revealing more points upon
which the pebbles didn't sink through.
Finally, he did a flip into the air and landed firmly on the ceiling.
"Easy enough."
Morgoth leaped again.
Ceiling. Floor. Wall. Floor. Wall. Wall. Ceiling. Wall. Floor. Ceiling.
Floor. Floor. Wall. . .
Finally, he was across.
"This would have been a much better test than the others."
"Those were chosen specifically!"
"And were pointless. I had already learned enough to beat them easily."
Morgoth continued down the hallway and entered a cavernous room. . .
Diex's army was small actually. Only the Trojan garrison with which attacked
Flames village. The rest of the army was under the command of Dark. Diex
marched his regiment down to Hellas and eventually Achaia. Diex found his
way to the underworld through Acheronia. There his soldiers found the path
to the gate held by the generals. But he didn't go there. Hades favored him
enough to open the path to the realm of Cronos. Dark used his powers to break
the door and ...voila... Cronos was released and summoned 4 titan like beings
under the command of Diex. However Cronos looked like he was fatigued, his
powers were not yet ready. Diex knew that time was with him. "And now for
the generals!!!" Dark commands. Diex turned and suddenly cut Dark's head.
Dark falls to the ground, his shades vanished and his army was under decay.
"Will Dark come back," though Diex, "Probably not..." But Diex was ignorant
of his power. Dark's head lolled on the ground but he smiled and his eyes
still burned, his armies stood strong, only the helpless mind of the human
made them look as if they decayed. His tiny finger stretching for Cronos,
to infect him.
IF had retired for the night. His questions had been answered.
He bolted from his bed.
"The moron... what idiocy is this! Joining sides with Dark! This all ends
now! Kronos is free. Dark, Rhea and Armagedon are free. This will never
stand!"
IF knew morgoth was heading into some great discovery and so he let him
be. IF was going alone. The mission would be easy. Wound Dark badly and prevent
him from causing more harm while Kronos was stopped.
The tiny pendant gate glowed and IF disappeared. IF found himself standing
in an endless expanse of sand. There was no wind, no life, no landmarks
just endless sand. The sky was blood red gray. A massive serpentine form
was forming in the distance. In fact they were coming from all directions.
IF used his powers to see far into space/time. To see Diex at the Gate.
Kronos being freed. Hades regretting his mistake. Kronos laughing. Again
the little pendant flared white and IF disappeared. IF found himself in the
Underworld. In the present. Only he was a rock! This made it so much easier.
The crystal to be used against dark grew in power. Gathering more and more.
IF was invisible, and so was the light. Now the power was strong enough even
to rid Rhea of the curse. And Armagedon of his existence... temporarily and
hurt Dark considerably. So IF invoked the power of the gate and found himself
in an endless white expanse. The vertigo was overwhelming. IF stayed only
long enough to see the Gate and teleport there. The gate glowed and IF was
standing on a high outcropping. The entire army saw the light. So did the
three great evils. But none were ready to react. The beam exploded unto the
army and evils. Armagedon and Dark's screams were incredibly loud. Rocks
themselves seemed to be being shattered. Many soldiers were blinded, others
deafened, others both and others dead. Rhea was purged and she attacked Kronos.
Kronos in his state of surprise was unprepared and Rhea's tackle tripped
him only slightly. He was standing so close to the Tartarus Gate that the
trip sent him into Tartarus again.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!"
Rhea slammed the gate closed. Slowly the light faded. IF had collapsed,
completely exhausted from the multiple teleportations and the immense effort
to summon the power to purge Rhea. The ground was sunk. Many more soldiers
lay dead. A massive crack was heard. The entire area was collapsing. Diex
ran for his life with what ever troops had survived un-maimed. Suddenly the
entire area around the gate collapsed. The rocks went tumbling down and so
did the gate. The pillar upon which IF lay cracked and collapsed. IF hurtled
toward the sinking gate. In the nick of time Rhea grabbed him and she fled
the sinking area.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dark and Armagedon slimed their way out of the rubble. Both were injured
and they fled. Slowly creaping in the shadows to regenerate. Soon they would
come back to re-open the gate but neither was stupid they needed their strength.
Morgoth entered the room. All of a sudden, the entrance closed behind him.
Trying to force it open again with his powers, Morgoth was blasted back.
"This has really got to stop happening," he muttered. "I've really got
to get used to reabsorbing my powers."
Morgoth looked around him and saw for the first time that this was a library/workshop
of sorts. Going over to the walls, he noticed that the walls were lined
with the histories of the world. Tables were covered in instruments of magical
utilities. Rows of tomes contained magical lore dating back as far as the
first mage.
Stairways led out of the room through secret passages into the upper world,
with exits all over the known world.
This was indeed a great find, a place to remember and return to.
For now, though, Morgoth looked over the history, searching for something
that may have been missed which could help them against Dark.
In the Lands beneath the worlds, Outlander, Lord of the Renegades fought
against powers unknown to even the gods. Long ago as he fought on behalf
of his great leader Odin, the hand of Armageddon drove Outlander into the
shadow lands, though Outlander left him with a deep wound that took centuries
to fully heal. But then something happened that the Shadows did not expect.
He found the sword of Thunder and the Red Stone. For a thousand years, he
raged against the shadow. But it was in vain for the sword could not conquer
all and the stone he dared not use. He thirsted for his might of old. But
as the armies of light warred against the Titans, Outlander felt his ancient
powers begin to return and he looked forth and saw the heir of his ancient
ally, Hardale the First, in the room of black fire. Outlander knew that
he must speak to him some how, some way. As he thought this, Outlander realized
that the heir of Hardale stood before him.
The Man started for his sword, but Outlander spoke to him.
"Please. We have no complaint with each other. What is your name, O' great
one?"
The man looked confused, but replied:
"I am Morgoth, General of War."
And Outlander Spoke with a voice clearer than had been heard since the
dawn of time.
"You must face a doom greater than that which you can now imagine. You
are of a mighty lineage, more so than any of those that fight at your side.
There is a darkness in your future, but you must cut through it. Perhaps
you will fail, perhaps you will triumph. Some will warn you to take caution,
but you must plunge ahead. We of the ancient blood must realize our strength
and use it. We have powers that some cannot comprehend. The fate of the future
rests upon our shoulders."
"And who are you?" Asked Morgoth.
Outlander looked straight at Morgoth, almost through him. He cried out:
"I am Outlander, I have returned to avenge myself."
And Far away in Tartarus, Armageddon felt a cold pain in his ancient wound.
All fell silent.
"You have discovered information of great value" said Outlander suddenly."We
must act on it."
Zalpacuiztli came to a hall in which he saw Hades sitting in his throne
with his red tunic, his crown and that usual grim expression in his face,
his wife Persephone with her fair but sad presence was in another throne at
his side, but they didn't seem right at all, the floor was covered with corpses
of Hades' servants and Zalp felt an evil presence.
"Zalpacuiztli! Old friend, good to see you here!" Hades broke the dead
silence.
"Pleased to meet you again Hades, and same to you my lady" Said Zalp looking
to Persephone "But what has happened here? It's fine to have dead people
in here but they shouldn't be scattered in your hall!"
"Oh lord of the West you don't know what has happened to us! The enemy,
Dark, managed to penetrate my realm..."
"So that's why I felt that evil presence."
"He attacked us and then went towards the gates in which the remaining
Titans were imprisoned."
"WERE imprisoned?"
"Yes, my friend, I really doubt that they are still there."
"So the leader of the Titans has been released, or so he will in no time."
"Oh! My old friend, I had called you to prevent this! But it's too late."
"I must stop them at once!"
"No, they are too many, I know you wield great powers..."
"And so you do! We can manage this together!"
"Like in the old times?"
"Yes, you did it once and so you can do it again, they are not invincible
my lord! You know it!"
"But this time it's different Zalpacuiztli, centuries ago we didn't have
these enemies, the Titans aren't too much compared to the Dark, you know
of it's power."
"Yes I do," Said Zalp, thoughtful "But even then, you can't loose hope."
"And what could I trust?"
"Well, trust something, trust you!"
"I'm not interested in these things anymore, I don't want to fight again."
"But you must if you want to save this world!"
"There is nothing we can do Zalp, nothing..."
"Nothing? I can't believe this! So all these people that have sacrificed
their lives! It has been in vain! Of course human lives are worthless, but
they fight for a good cause! We must act quickly, I came here for help and
advice, and that's what I receive?!"
"Sorry lord if I disappointed you, perhaps you came with too many expectations"
"No my lord, please remember those days, your bravery, your wisdom that
helped to stop the disaster."
"Oh yes, those days, yes I remember them, those great days before I was
confined to this "great" kingdom. Although it's not that bad actually, not
as good as the heaven or the sea, but it's fine I think, at least I have my
loving wife," Hades looked at Persephone. "Well not that loving," he laughed.
"So will you help me?"
"Yes, and you'll help me too."
"As always."
"Well, then we shall..."
A loud noise echoed in the tunnels to the left, then more noises came,
like thunders they seemed, but those were no thunders, those were steps
as Zalp noticed, the thundering steps of a Titan. They seemed to pass by
the other side of the wall, heading to the exit.
"Cronus!" Said Zalp "I must go, I must try to stop them, I must do something!"
Zalp ran without saying goodbye.
He ran and ran until he saw them, a big army, the soldiers seemed frightened,
it will be easy to defeat them, but with them the monstrous Armagedon and
Dark went, and the Titan Cronus and something unexpected, Rhea! "She must
be under their control," he thought, but also he noticed another presence,
not so evil, but very disturbed, it was actually a mortal, Zalp looked at
him, a Greek warrior he seemed "This crazy mortal," he whispered, they were
some miles away, but he could catch them easily, he knew what to do. He
was reaching them when he felt another presence, it appeared behind him
and then disappeared quickly, and appeared again but further, someone was
using magic! And it was just outside the entrance! Then he could perceive
it, it was IF! Then a light came from the outside, shining more than the
light of the sky, Zalp stopped for a moment, he was very close to them,
but felt that something dangerous was about to happen. The enemies were
passing the exit when a huge beam came, then some explosions were heard
and then a huge shadow passed through the gates, it was Cronus! He was falling!
Zalp could listen between all the noises the terrified soldiers, screaming
in pain as they were smashed by the body of the Titan. Then the gates cracked
as they were closed violently. Everything came into darkness, Zalp was trapped
in the underworld with his enemies, this was something terrible, but at
the same time a good chance to act...
Morgoth looked Outlander straight in the eye.
"Perhaps it is time," he said, "for you perhaps, but not for me. I have
other tasks. I have friends that need me."
"This is true," Outlander replied wearily, "But until we meet again, I
ask you to take this."
He pushed a red stone into Morgoth's hand, and with that, slipped out the
door.
He stepped into that winding passage that Morgoth had followed earlier
but went the opposite direction. As the hall proceeded, it became more and
more unreal. In some areas he had to walk on the walls, which seemed quite
possible in this strange cavern... But Outlander was used to this. He had
faced much stranger in the under realms of Shadow. Ahead he saw a mist in
the hallway, for that was what it now seemed to be. He stopped for a moment
to think about his surroundings. He appeared to be in some sort of building,
yet the farther he went, the less it became like a building. He walked fearlessly
into the dark mist. But here he sensed a power that he had not yet met.
The power sensed him as well... this was not good. They began to struggle
in their wills. Outlander suddenly realized what he was facing. One of the
lesser wraiths of Odin... but what was it doing here, in this land? Then
the wraith spoke.
"Is that you, My Lord Outlander?" It whispered.
"Yes, it is I." He replied.
"Come with me."
"Why? I sense other paths, other fates. I must follow them."
"Odin desires to see you, my Lord," the Wraith whispered again.
"I do not desire to see him at this time. You forget, my friend, that I
have long ventured in realms unknown to even Odin. He gave me no aid the battle
against Armageddon. I hold no malice, but I am no longer his servant. Inform
your Lord that I will come to him, but in my time not his. And who are you,
wraith. I do not remember you from my days in the sunlit lands."
"My name is of no consequence," breathed the wraith, "I am but Odin's servant"
"I was not aware that Odin was in the habit of acquiring fools and vagabond
wraiths as servants."
Outlander stepped forward toward the wraith. The creature retreated a few
feet.
"I will carry your message to Lord Odin, but he will not be pleased," The
wraith spoke.
"I care little for Lord Odin's pleasure. Tell him I am my own Lord now."
"And where will you go, foolish one? The world is in turmoil..."
"Silence rogue." Outlander drew his blade. "Odin has fallen low indeed
if you are the greatest he could send to greet me. Carry your message, nameless
one. No wait. One last question. How did you know my location?"
The wraith, now in clear sight, looked nervously about with his silver
eyes.
"The powers of wraiths are not for mortal men to..."
"One who has seen the shadow and lived a thousand years is not a mere man."
Outlander interrupted.
The wraith turned to leave but Outlander stepped to bar his path.
"I saw it in the green ring," the wraith whined, falling back.
"You lie. The green ring was crushed a thousand years ago on the hand of
Gorthar Ringfinger, one of my mighty generals."
"No," The wraith cried, "it is the truth. Gorthar is merely sleeping. He
is in the form of stone, and only by you can he be awakened. The chamber
where he lies is near."
"So that is how you came to be servant of Odin, using the ring on the hand
of Gorthar to see and communicate." Outlander became grim, "But how did
you find me? The ring can only be used in communication with another"
"That is of no consequence," the wraith gasped.
And with that, the creature dove past Outlander and rushed down the hall.
But not without receiving a deep wound from the sword of thunder. Few escaped
Outlander unscathed.
But Outlander had larger worries than rogue wraiths. If what the wraith
said was true, one of his great comrades was under a curse in a nearby chamber.
Outlander began to walk, only to find that the ground fell out before him.
He stepped back. Had the wraith tricked him? But he recalled a situation
like this in his past, somewhere in the memories of the past millennium.
He focused his will upon the great void, and with that alone, caused the
darkness to harden into a bridge. He cautiously walked across the bridge.
As he neared the middle, the will of whatever controlled that void struck
back. With a mighty heave, Outlander leaped from the falling bridge and landed
safely on the other side. From the pit came the cries of a being now thirsting
for a victim.
"Someone else," Thought Outlander.
He saw off to the right, a great gateway into a room. Through this he walked.
Inside he saw four figures of stone, seeming to stand conversing. He called
to them.
"Awake, loyal friends. I have returned."
The Statues awoke and looked at him. They recognized Outlander at once.
They sprang forward to greet him.
Now that they were living, Outlander was able to see who they were. The
shortest one one wore a heavy helm that had the most ornate designs Outlander
had ever seen. He knew the helm before the man. This was Hordil, the finest
axeman in the worlds and a staunch defender. The taller, slimmer one to his
size was, of course Tuinogor. His iron bow and golden breastplate were unmistakable.
And finally, standing behind them with a glittering jewel on his finger,
a great cloak covering his body, and a mighty spear in his hand was Gorthar.
Gorthar spoke:
"Outlander, for a thousand years we have slept, waiting for this day. Today
is the day we destroy the Titans."
Outlander looked grimly at him.
"It is good to see you, Gorthar. But I will never believe you to be a prophet
-- at least not since you predicted that iron rain would fall from heaven.
Today is not our day of victory. But it is the first day on that path. No
we must plan. Is there a way out of this god-forsaken building? Where are
we anyway?"
"We know as little as you, commander" spoke Hordil. “But if axe and blade
can burn a path, we will find one."
"Fools rush in, Lord Hordil" laughed Tuinogor. "Why must we cat our way
out when there is fresh light in the chamber?"
"I saw that," interjected Outlander "But why is there is no fresh air to
accompany such a find."
"Let us investigate, my Lords," Smiled Gorthar "Or we will never know."
The four cautiously walked into a far corner of the chamber. There, stood
a door with light emanating from it. Outlander, with one blow from his blade,
severed the door from its hinges. What he saw took his breath away.
"The sun! After a thousand years of darkness, at last the sun!" He ejaculated.
"But where are we?" asked Hordil
"I know not. But that was no ordinary door. It has vanished" Outlander
replied.
Sure enough, there was neither door nor building. The Warriors were standing
in a large clearing in a forest.
Outlander spoke to his Lords, saying
"This is where we divide, Men. Find any of the houses of men still willing
to cast away their lives as renegades. And find those still loyal to the
blood of the Ancients. For even in this time, there is one of this blood
that will shape the doom of us all, and by us be shaped. Go men, find the
renegades and form armies. You will know when and where to meet me. I feel
my ancient powers mixing with my new. Yes, the days of our victory has begun!”
Dark and Armagedon had returned to the gate. Zalp was sitting on a nearby
rock feeling angry at IF for banishing Kronos so quickly and wanting to
kill Kronos himself. Then he heard the cracking of rocks as they hit the
ground. Zalp poked his head over a rock to see what was going on. He saw
Dark and Armagedon digging feverishly for the sunken gate. Eventually even
their towering heads were lost in the hole. A massive beam of red light
streaked up out of the pit. Then Kronos, Armagedon and Dark exploded from
the hole laughing.
"THANK YOU DARK AND ARMAGEDON! I AM FREE AGAIN!!!!!! THE WORLD OF MORTALS
SHALL BE OURS AND OURS ALONE!!!!!"
All three started to laugh. It was Zalp's turn to step up to the plate.
The brave generals were still at the camp site that Diex's army had destroyed.
Thor wasn't mad he just didn't know why they keep on coming at them when
they will just destroy his army? Thor just said, "Lets go to work to clean
up this place." All the generals got wood and other utensils to rebuild the
camp site.
Looking through the histories, Morgoth couldn't find anything new. There
was a reference that seemed like it might have been going somewhere, but
it was in an ancient language with which Morgoth had very little knowledge
and didn't have the time to cross-reference and interpret. Morgoth copied
it down as written. Maybe IF or Flames could help him.
Next, Morgoth moved to the magic tomes. As he was no longer certain as
to where everyone was, he found a positioning spell and looked it over.
Moving to a series of tables, he covered them with sand. A table for each
general and a multi-layered table to represent the entire world were prepared
for the spell. Taking some clear gems, he inscribed each with a symbol linking
them to a general - two for each general.
He then placed a gem representing a different general on each of the individual
tables and one of each of them on the World-Table.
Finally, he animated the whole thing.
The World-Table formed the shape of the geography of the world, with the
sand, forming the changing details to perfection - the above world and the
underworld alike. The gems on it moved to the generals' general locations
and glowed to differentiate between them.
On the tables representing individual generals, the sand created maps of
greater detail, making it clear as to where in each area the generals were.
Morgoth looked over the maps. The gems of some generals were stronger than
others. That worried him a bit. Now to decide which one to find. . .
IF awoke. He was lying on the cold hard ground. The cave was small. Only
large enough to allow him to walk in it. His back ached and his stomach
rumbled. He got up off the floor and took a step toward the entrance. He
was still tired and he fainted going back into his deep sleep. The comforting
hand of Rhea lowered him gently to the floor and remained on guard at the
entrance.
The trio was amazingly powerful. Dark was the most powerful. Cronus was
second and Armageddon third. The generals put immense faith in Zalp.
"Be on your guard. Those puny generals could attack us. Make sure their
attacks are futile," said Dark. They were all destroying everything in there
way. Eventually they reached the city-state of Sparta. The Spartans armed
themselves with 3,000 mighty soldiers.
"STAND BACK!" said Cronus. Then the Spartans attacked. Arrows clashed with
Cronus' skin and spears pierced his hide. Cronus was unaffected. He drew his
mighty scythe and slashed a horizontal slash. It decapitated hundreds of
soldiers. Then it was Armageddon's turn. From his back came hundreds of tentacles.
Each tentacle latched on to a soldier. Then the tentacles pumped something
into the soldiers' bodies. Then the tentacles left the stunned soldiers and
fled back into Armageddon's body and Armageddon just stood there watching.
The soldiers that were caught by the tentacles started to violently bulge.
They started to violently vomit. Then there bodies exploded in a shower of
blood. Armageddon actually pumped eggs into those soldiers. The eggs hatched
and the offspring ate the soldiers inside out. Eventually the offspring became
to big and the soldiers nursed. It was Dark's turn. Dark simply destroyed
all of Sparta and its remaining army in a blast blue and white flames from
his palm.
After some weeks Diex and his routed troops finally reached Troy to aid
to their routed soldiers and take some reinforcements. Priam wasn't so kind
to Diex so didn't gave more troops. Instead he asked his Physicians to heal
as much as they could be and the rest to the Temple of Apollo. Anyway within
the next week, the Trojan triremes approached the Peloponessian peninsula.
Regardless of the exact cause Diex and his troops within the next month marched
against the non-walled city of Corinth which was garrisoned by some Corinthian
Hoplites and the former Spartan king Menelaus brother of Agamemnon. The Heavy
Hoplites of the city-state formed a Phalanx just in front of Diex's Hypaspists.
The Peltasts formed a line and stood fast. The Hypaspists grabbed their bows
and fired at the Hoplite Phalanxes. The Corinthians charged. The Hypaspists
marched in front of the Peltasts and fired a few shots at the front of the
enemy army. Then they retreated. At the time the Hoplites reached the Peltasts
they threw their Javelins upon the terrified Corinthians. Then they grabbed
their Dorata(Spears) and charged the Hoplites. The Hypaspists grabbed their
Ksiphi(Swords) and hit the Corinthian flanks. The terrified Hoplites were
defeated and started a maneuvre to hit the rear. At this time, Artemis who
favored Diex and granted him with 3 Chimeras and casted an Earthquake upon
the Akhaian city. The Corinthians were forced to pay tribute to Troy and moreover
give all of their non-defensive soldiers into Diex's band, the prince Paris
stole Menelaus wife, fair Helen.
Zalp was standing on a hill, looking at the smoking ruins of Sparta.
"I can't handle them if they are together, I must separate them," He said
to himself, "Cronus shall be the objective, the other two, I'll see the way
to loose them"
Cronus, Armageddon and Dark were laughing at the Spartans
"Fool mortals," Dark said, "They thought they could stop us! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
But then a voice came from behind
"Ah! Titan! At last we meet, how long has it been since the last time I
saw your fair face?"
Cronus turned around to see who was speaking, the voice sounded familiar
to him, though he couldn't remember who it was, from the smoke emerged a figure,
clothed in a strange manner, bright feathers and jewels.
"Another fool," said Armageddon.
"This is one of the mighty Generals I suppose," said Dark.
"I'll cover this lands with your blood General!" Armageddon yelled menacing.
"No! I remember you now!" said Cronus, his companions looked at him, "Yes,
you were there, when the Titans fell and I was imprisoned, you are the lord
of the West! Be wary, for this is not a man, this is not a mortal"
"Even the immortal we can kill, so let's get him at once!" said Armageddon.
"Don't be afraid of him Cronus, I'll show you how powerful he is," After
saying this Dark hurled himself against Zalp, then with a violent movement
he cut his head, and ripped his belly.
Cronus laughed, "Ha! You were right, we are too powerful for him!"
But blood didn't come out from the body, and as the ripped body was falling
it disappeared, only ashes remained, floating in the air.
"What kind of evil spell is this?!!" Exclaimed Dark, the others were also
astonished.
"The kind of evil spell I though was worthy of your greatness," Zalp's voice
came from somewhere to their right, they looked and discovered that the voice
came from a little bird standing on the branch of a near tree.
"It's him!" Shouted Cronus in amazement, "He tricked us, I told you he couldn't
be trusted."
"I'll have my revenge fool!" Dark rushed towards the bird at an incredible
speed, but the bird was faster and before Dark could catch it, the bird flew,
heading to a forest to the East.
"You won't escape!" Dark, and the others rushed after the bird "Even if
you turn into an animal we will hunt you to the very end of the world if
necessary!" Dark said angrily...
Numerous weeks after the destruction of the Akhaian cities and the stealing
of fair Helen, thousands of Akhaian triremes sighted near the sea of Marmara.
The great Akhaian army had sailed to Troy under the commands of king Agamemnon,
brother of Menelaus, in order to persuade the Trojans to give Helen to her
rightful husband. Hades know why Priam refused. And now a clash between Akhaians
and Trojans began... The fighting was fierce. Sometimes the only thing that
separateed Akhaians from Trojans was the walls of Troy. Every second they
pushed the Akhaians back and every second the Akhaians win over the lost lands.
Two days before Ajax, prince of Salamis, had fought in a duel with prince
Hector. Hector took a slight wound only and the battle begun again. Battered
and bleeding the Trojan forces routed to the Walls where the Akhaians
couldn't attack. Diex was in the crenellation when he saw Paris. While thee
fought every day, he was sitting at his room and cleaning his armor. Then
Hector broke the door and entered the chamber. He said "What are you doing
here coward bastard?? We fight for you and your bride and you are sitting
like a girl in the chamber and cleaning the armor?? The armor must be black
from the dust of the battle and broken from the slashing of battle not clean
like you are going to a wedding!!! At least go and fight like a man!!!" Paris
agreed to fight with Menelaus in a duel. What a shame... Paris couldn't even
use his spear, such a useless prince he was. Menelaus was ready to hit his
neck and smash the entire head, but Aphrodite who favored him blocked the
spear so Menelaus hit the helmet... such a prince, he couldn't even fight...
the battles continued for weeks with no victor to them. The Akhaian commanding
posts now were crumbling and within the next few they might leave for Akhaia.
The Akhaians were leaving... Agamemnon and his remainers boarded their Triremes
and left Troy. They only left a wooden horse at the gates of Troy... Laokohon
ordered the Trojans not to bring it inside.. but Priam didn't listen. Thee
broke the gates and forced the horse inside..... after the evening there was
a feasting about the victory. Only Diex's Dorian regiment were away guarding
the crenellation. They knew the Trojan allies had fallen to an Akhaian trick...
at the end they saw 10 men get out off the horse who started slaughtering
the guards. Diex and his troops could have killed them one by one but they
decided to let them burn Troy. The Akhaian's invasion had begun. Agamemnon's
Hoplites entered Troy and started the massacre. Nothing survived. Except Diex's
troops who had fled through secret passages beneath the walls. They got to
Thrace by capturing a half damaged Trireme, left there for what must have
been months from the barnacle encrusted hull and moldy sails and rigging.....
Flames slept after a long day's work. Then he heard Cronos, "Foolish general.
You pathetic human. We have a plan. A plan that will cause the extinction
of all life on the planet. Or even destroy the world... you will soon see....."
Flames awoke in bloody sweat. He decided to walk in the night. He heard
the owls, saw the deer and more. It was quite beautiful. Then he looked up
at the moon. "Strange..why does the moon look... wierd?" Flames said in the
night...
Diex and his army turned back to Thessalonica and with a caravan they reached
Cynos Argeis, the Dorian capital. After a small briefing the king though that
it might be good to ally with the other generals and stop the approaching
Armageddon. Vain... "For now the alliance cannot be done. We are preparing
an invasion in Achaia. Mycenae for a long period didn't pay attention to our
ultimatum. Our forces will be gathered tomorrow outside Cynos Argeis. The
Thracians are already here with their cavalry companies. Our first target
will be the port of Ioklos." That is what he said. One day after, the
armies marched to Olympus and in two days we saw the walls of Iolkos....
... Dark entered the forest, he was angry, he would kill that General or
whatever he was, he had ran without stopping for a long time, hundreds of
miles, he wasn't sure, but then he saw it, just above him, at the top of a
tall tree was the bird. Dark smiled with evil, perhaps he had stopped to rest,
it didn't really matter for he was about to fall in the Dark. Dark lifted
his hands making no noise, then with a fast move he caught the bird, it chirped
scared when one of Dark's fingers penetrated in its little body.
"Here I have you..... you thought you were clever," said Dark with a soft
voice looking at the suffering bird's eyes.
Then Dark, took its head and slowly cracked its neck.
"You must be thankful, for I gave you a fast death."
Dark just stood there with the dead bird in his bloody hand waiting for
his companions, he was so angry and ran so fast that he hadn't even noticed
that Armageddon and Cronus weren't with him.
"I hope those morons aren't lost," Dark continued waiting
He heard something behind him and as he turned around he discovered terrified
that the surroundings had changed, the forest wasn't there, the sky wasn't
there, the ground wasnt' there, everything had disappeared, there was nothing
in there, everything was white, completely white, Dark couldn't see nor hear
anything he ran in every direction and then stopped, that thing didn't have
an end! Then it came clear to him, it was light! Everything around him was
light! He felt desperate.
"NNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CURSE YOU!!!!!!!! CURSE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" But not even his screams he could
not hear. Dark was imprisoned by the light.
Armageddon moved as fast as he could, leaping with every huge step, so much
time had passed since they had entered the forest, he stopped. "We?" he thought,
"Where are the others?!" Armageddon saw in every direction but he couldn't
see them, neither Dark nor Cronus were there, he was alone.
"Well it doesn't matter, I can do it by myself," he said.
And in that very moment he saw the bird he was looking for.
"Yes, it is," Armageddon felt proud of himself
The bird was a few feet away, standing in the ground giving him its back,
it had blood in its wing.
"So he is injured, it will be even easier then, though Cronus said he was
dangerous"
Armageddon stepped forward slowly, but when he was preparing to attack a
furious wind came from his side, suddenly Armageddon couldn't see anything
but dust and leaves. Slowly the wind calmed, Armageddon could see now and
discovered that the bird wasn't there anymore.
"Ah! Curses the wind must had carried him!"
He was so concentrated in his thoughs that he didn't notice that his feet
were almost buried in the snow.
"What! Snow! I'm not in that forest anymore, but how?"
He walked a bit.
"The air is very cold in here..."
He came to something that looked like a gulch.
"Let's see were the hell I am," He looked into the gulch, it wasn't a gulch!
He couldn't believe it! He could see land under him, very far it seemed, the
trees and rocks looked like ants. He was in the top of a mountain! How the
hell had he come there!
Zalpacuiztli continued flying in his bird form, Cronus was still pursuing
him. "So they are trapped," Zalp thought, "I can feel it, Cronus is alone
now."
Cronus had been running all the day, all the day the earth had shook, they
had come out of the forest, and came to a rocky mount, in the bottom of the
mount was a cave.
"Reveal yourself now fool!...Coward!" Exclaimed Cronus, "I know I'm alone
but I don't fear you! You thought I was stupid, but you can be sure I'm not!
I know you are there, somewhere, reveal yourself!"
"Titans aren't renowned by their intelligence if you don't mind," Zalp's
voice came.
Cronus looked for him.
"So there are you! HA! I remember your name, now, Zalpacuiztli you are,
the master of the West, yes, I still remember, are you frightened? Come out
now! I have come this far to fight you, and you just hide? Fool and coward
you are, as always" Said Cronus
"Come after me then!" Zalp yelled, now in the form of a bat, he flew and
entered the cave.
"Through the deep places of the world I'll chase you, your doom awaits you
there Zalpacuiztli!"
The Titan entered the cave, some safe steps into the cave and then and abyss,
very deep and dark it seemed...
Morgoth exited his library, if it could be called such a simple thing, setting
runes on all of the entrances so that none would find a way in without him.
Stepping into the desert, he inhaled the hot, dry air. Just like the old
days, he thought.
It was time to seek enemies. Smiling at the spells he'd researched just
before leaving, he felt in his pocket and touched the red stone, his sand
and . . . the parchment. Morgoth frowned. What could it possibly mean? Perhaps
he should have spent the time to look it over, but time wasn't something of
which there was much.
He strained to recall where everyone was. Zalp had been moving too fast:
he was probably somewhere else since he had looked at the sand-maps. IF was
in the underworld: he didn't want to return there unless he had too. Who did
that leave? Morgoth decided to seek out Flames. Quickly summoning a sand-phoenix
from the desert around him, he rose up into the air. Flames might understand
the parchment . . .
Much had happened to Outlander since he and his commanders had parted. He
had crossed great countries and seen lands that few had ventured in. He had
another run in with the forces of Odin. This time a group of Knights of Valhalla
had stopped him. They had asked many questions.
"Why do you no longer serve Odin, your lord?" they probed.
"He betrayed me," Replied Outlander.
But he didn't have time for this. He was in a hurry. Six Knights of Valhalla
found themselves dead all over again that day.
As he had approached a large plain one day, a strange feeling of fear had
come over him. Then he had seen why. Three huge forms had leapt from the
infernal ground and challenged the generals of the world. He had seen one
man, who he somehow knew to be named Zalp, stand before them and take the
brunt of their wrath. He had laughed to see their exultation over Zalp, for
he knew the man had tricked them. He watched as Cronos, Dark and Armageddon
started in pursuit of Zalp in many forms, but what would happen next, Outlander
knew not. It was then that Armageddon had sensed him. It stunned Outlander
at first, the might of Armageddon's will. He had grown stronger in a thousand
years, he was now an even more formidable foe. The creature staggered for
a moment. He had forgotten Outlander over time. Other threats had grown,
he had forgotten an ancient one. But Outlander had returned. And for the
first time in a millennium, Armageddon had been truly terrified. But he had
let Outlander see none
And now he stood. alone, he tried to walk forward. His eyes instantly became
adjusted to the darkness. He was standing on a long platform of some sort
of stone. On each side, a great pit descended into nothingness. Outlander
laughed. He knew where he was. Tartarus. A walk in the park, after the under
realms.
Outlander understood Tartarus better than most. He had been there before
driven under the worlds. He even recognized the place. The Pillar of Thurl,
the Titans had called it. But this was no time for reminiscing. He plunged
forward. He had remembered something almost all others had forgotten. The
Iron Army. Before even Outlander's time, a great army had entered Tartarus
to finish off the Tiatns. It hadn't exactly worked. The entire army had been
turned into iron, unable to awaken themselves... until a power from beneath
the worlds arrived to lead them in his cause.
"Fool Titans," thought Outlander.
They had expected an evil to arise from the under realms, but instead a good
had. Outlander. He looked to his right. A great door straddled the path.
He rushed at it with all his might. He leapt at it, sword drawn. The gate
gave way and the ancient hero landed inside. The army stood waiting. They
had already awaked. They were mighty men, almost giants. Each one stood a
head over Outlander, a tall man himself. And also in that room he saw something
that was greater than even the army. The pool of Ordu.
The power in the pool of Ordu had been constructed by Zeus with the power
of his bolt as a present for his wife Hera... to appease her... again. But
the liquid inside the pool had been stolen by Dark as it crossed through
the world, and here, in the black pool of Ordu, he had used to plot many
of his evil deeds. Outlander walked to the pool. The army merely stared at
him and waited for orders. The guys might be big, but they weren't exactly
brilliant. But he had no time for this. He walked to the pool. Before him,
he saw the generals of the free world who fought against the titans.
"So this is what dark feared so much..."
In the pool, he saw one general marked deeper than the others, as if more
time had been spent studying him. It was Morgoth, the young man Outlander
had run into before. Outlander saw Dark’s black minions focussing their powers
on Morgoth. It was time to act. Armageddon could wait, the future of this
warrior could not. But Outlander could not just leave the power of this pool
in the hands of Dark. He quickly bent down to the liquid... and drank it.
It nearly burned his life out, but he was stronger than other men. He survived.
And grew stronger. He didn't know it, but he was the first mortal to drink
of the light of Zeus and live.
He looked to the wall, and saw a large panel. He knew it would lead him to
Morgoth and the Black phoenixes chasing him... he looked around at his army...
there were only about a hundred of them... not too many, but they were worth
at least a thousand ordinary troops with their huge stature... would it be
worth it?
He pushed the panel.
At once, he and his iron army were in the desert sands. The soldiers, not
exactly intelligent, became confused. Morgoth was standing alone, fighting
brilliantly with his blade. But his sand phoenix had fallen, the black phoenixes
had driven it down, and Dark's minions were rising from the ground at all
locations. Morgoth was beginning to falter. Outlander leapt to his side.
"Back from saving the planet with your ancient blood?" Morgoth asked sarcastically
and then laughed
"Shut up and fight kid." Outlander grinned. "Let's send these undead critters
to their 'final' resting place."
The Iron army now drove into the minions, following Outlander's minions.
The undead began to give way. Outlander singled out the leader of the group,
not a minion but a shadowy figure, unlike anything he had seen before. He
drove his blade into it. The creature wailed and fell back. It had a hideous
iron face. It ran it's spear into Outlander's side, but he hardly felt it.
With one blow he severed the figure's head. Morgoth also was fighting one
of the dark beings. A light flashed from his hand. It was the Red Stone.
"Use it wisely kid" Outlander hollered.
"He has no idea of the power he holds..." he thought to himself.
His army made better headway against the minions now. It was developing into
a rout now... the troops went into a short pursuit. They had claimed the
victory. Outlander looked at Morgoth.
"You look like hell," He said.
"Thanks. So do you." Morgoth laughed back.
"Yeah but I have a reason. I just got back from there."
They both laughed.
"Well, you have places to go, and I feel a little power rising in me."
Outlander rose his hand, and a door rose out of the sand.
"Follow me, boys" Outlander shouted to his troops. He walked toward the doors.
Morgoth and the iron army followed.
At once, the two men stood in front of Flames. Outlander's army stood outside.
Morgoth walked up to Flames.
"Hello, my friend." said morgoth." You too!" said FLames. The generals rejoiced
and had to wait for POW and IF.
Armageddon split from the trio. Then he burst towards the generals' camp.
Armageddon then looked at the moon that would soon collide with the planet.
He smiled, and then burst forward again...
Deep in the light was Dark. He, as done before, split his body into dark
energy and disapeared. He appeared in the real world and just stood there
hovering." I will; destroy you as I have done countless life forms!" said
Dark and then wiped out the entire forest. Then from black energy started
to build his fortress.
Armageddon reached Outlander and the others." FOOLS!!! I HAVE HAD ENOUGH!!!!
I WILL FEAST ON ALL YOUR INSIDES!!!" said Armageddon. He lunged at Outlander.
Outlander tried to block but failed and was knocked back. Then Armageddon
released his tentacles at Outlander! 3 tentacles latched on to him. But WTB
slashed away the tentacle before an egg was pumped into Outlander. Armageddon
was angry. He grabbed WTB with his spider back legs and squeezed his head
hard. But morgoth had an idea. He shared to Flames and the others. Flames'
spear became lodged into Armageddon's stomach and so did morgoth's staff
and Outlander's sword. Then Flames' spear blasted with golden light, morgoth
with scorching sands, and Outlander with massive lightning. It blew Armageddon
apart. Then the black worms appeared. The generals started to kill the worms
but there were to many. Armageddon was revived and he continued the battle...
When Armageddon re-spawned from the worms and the generals started a counter-charge,
Diex appeared clutching the Sword of Deimos in his fist. He attacked Armageddon
along with the other generals. "You were an Evil." said Flames. "I was following
the orders of the king of Troy to whom I was seconded. Now I follow the commands
of Macedonia. After all we are battling for our own existence." Diex replied
and went in the fray to help the others. But as he tried to hit the neck
of Armageddon, he grabbed him and threw him upon a rock. Diex fell to earth
with little of consiousness.....
Armageddon picked up Diex, barely conscious. " I will end this now." said
Armaggedon. He squeezed Diex' neck hard. Then came morgoth, WTB, DP, Thor,
and GOS to distract Armageddon. Diex was safe for now..
Diex got up and charged Armageddon. But Armageddon was invincible. Then he
said, "Flames take the others and leave. I will hold Armageddon."
"It's impossible, you will die in vain".
"Just leave for the Gods shake. I can hold him. Now go!!!" Feeling sad about
the sure loss of a even new ally, Flames and the other withdrew and ran towards
the Fortress of Dark. Diex who was favored by Apollo, asked for the Underworld
Passage and he threw both of them inside...
"I will handle Armaggedon." said Outlander.
"We shall pierce into Dark's fortress. When all of the generals gather in
that one location the final battle will begin." said Flames. Outlander headed
for the Underworld Passage and morgoth, dp, GOS, WTB, and Flames headed for
Dark's fortress. They entered. It was a dim place. The mian lobby's features
were undistinguishable.
"Lets stop here then well wait for the other generals." said WTB.
IF awoke again. His nuasea was completely gone. He felt good as new. Excpet
for the fact his back was locked in place from sleeping on the rocks. And
his stomach growled with incredible ferocity.
"Rhea?"
"Yes IF I am still here. The Underworld is not a very safe place for mortals."
"Thank you Rhea."
"Now you are probably hungry. There is no food here. We will have to goto
the surface. Which shouldn't take very long."
Rhea picked up IF and sped away from the cave. Within about an hour they
had discovered a way out and took it immediately. They found themselves on
an open plain. With long grasses and sparse amounts of small trees. Rhea
put IF into the grass and sped off to look for food. IF waited patiently.
Rhea returned with several large animals that looked somewhat similar to
the Scandanavian oxen. IF and Rhea ate happily on the abundant feast. Finished
with his meal IF left Rhea to continue eating while he took a walk.
...Very deep the abyss was, a man would spend two days climbing it down,
nevertheless it was a short fall for a Titan. Quickly Cronus reached the
ground, Zalp in his bat form feeled the ground shaking and the Titan breathing
behind him, Cronus was very close to him, but he couldn't see Zalp for the
darkness was protecting him; as a bat Zalp had an advantage here, he awaited
attached to a stalactite, the Titan stood motionless until his eyes became
familiar to the darkness, then Cronus could see that he was in a wide hall
filled with stalactites, it was wet and cold in there, steam came out from
Cronus' mouth, the gloom was only lighted by the rays of light that came
from the surface.
"Where are you?" Cronus asked and his mighty voice echoed in the cavern "You
may hide, but it will be useless, come! Don't be a coward"
Invisible steps were heard, it was Zalp back to his normal form...
Outlander staggered up. Chaos was erupting everywhere. His troops charged
aimlessly all over the field. He looked himself over. Blood poured from his
chest. He set his hand over the wound. It slowly began to heal.
"I have greater powers then I first believed" Thought Outlander.
Suddenly, the world descended into the background. He saw a light in the
distance. Two forms fought in a cold, dark room. He saw one that had cast
off evil, and another that was evil itself. He realized what had happened.
Though Diex had been killed, he had with tremendous effort dragged Armageddon
with him into the underworld. But Outlander saw a weakness in Diex. He had
freed himself from evil, but it still had left a mark in him, a deadly wound
that had not had time to heal and could cost him his very soul. Outlander
knew such a man could not be left to be robbed of his spirit at the hands
of Armageddon. He must be saved. Outlander summoned his strength. He was
wounded, but he felt his powers growing. He would face Armageddon. The powers
of two ages raged in him, and the wrath of a thousand years blazed in his
soul. He was strong enough. But then Outlander saw another threat. Armageddon
was growing stronger by the second. If he crushed Diex, the soul of that
powerful general wouldThe soul of the one escaped from evil
is the fuel that will give evil
the power to make evil immortal
He did not fully understand the prophecy, but he knew now was the time it
spoke of. It must be proved wrong. He must act...
Something struck him from behind.
The world returned into clear focus. Fires raged all over the field. He turned
to see what had hit him. A huge Einherjar towered over him. Odin was interfering
again. This must be stopped. Outlander reached his hand into the sky. The
clouds grew dark. The Einherjar stopped in his tracks. Outlander cried into
the winds:
"Oh foolish Odin, do you think I know nothing of your design? I am not a
child. I knew of your secret support of Armageddon even before you sent me
to follow him. I made a mistake, however. I thought you desired good for
me. I thought that you did not wish for me to fall into darkness. I thought
I could bring you back into the light. I was wrong. I thought if I crushed
Armageddon, I could crush the evil in you and save the good. But I see now
it is too late. Armageddon your ally is about to meet his doom, and you shall
not aid him any longer. Your minions have fallen before my blade before,
they shall do so again. But this time you shall fall with them. I fear not
mortal nor immortal. Fall back."
And with that, he uttered a forgotten word into the world. And far away,
in the Halls of Valhalla, Odin was thrown to the ground. And all his servants
stood in awe. He had underestimated Outlander.
Outlander gathered his bearings. He looked around. He needed a way into the
chamber of doom where Armageddon and Diex fought. An arrow flashed by. He
ducked into a crevice to avoid any dangerous fire, though he feared arrows
very little. He reached for his blade. But it wasn't there. Then he remembered
the sword sunk deep in Armageddon's side. It must hurt eternally. But Outlander
knew that Armageddon grew stronger with pain and injury. He tried to clear
his mind. He couldn't fight without a sword... where could he find one? He
tried to think. He focused his mind on the problem. He felt an urge. He focussed
his mind on the call. He felt himself slipping. Down into Erebus, no further...
into the under realm. He tried to stop his descent, but he couldn't. He felt
the roots of the world slip past him. He stood firmly on the ground of the
shadow land.
He tried to control the fear he felt. He focused his mind on the realm around
him. Then he sensed that same power, the one that had called to him before.
He walked forward. The cavern stretched deep into the void of death on each
side of the path on which he stood. The call grew stronger. In a thousand
years of wandering, he had never seen the part of the under realm he now
stood in. He wondered where it was. The rock about him was unlike the rock
in the sea of Yuil, the Black Plain, or any of the other sections of the
under realms. He stopped dead in his tracks. Before him stood a huge gateway.
But it was not the gateway that gave him pause. It was something within.
He could not yet see it. It fought against him in its will. He entered the
doorway. And then he saw it. It was himself.
He stood astonished at this new development. But he had little time for astonishment.
The creature, the other Outlander, the Shadow man, was rushing at him with
all its might. It was armed, he was not. Or was he? It leapt at him. He held
forth his hand. A light flashed from his hand. The Shadow man flew back.
It smashed into the cavern walls. Outlander felt his powers growing again.
He was facing one of the greatest evils the world had ever known. Perhaps
it had been formed from the evil hatred he had acquired, from the curses
he had uttered in the depths before he mastered himself. Perhaps it was a
will that had watched him and tried to mirror his powers. Perhaps it was
none of these. But it would either die or kill this day.
The creature recovered from its fall. It leapt at Outlander again. Its black
sword countered the power Outlander hurled at it. It continued to approach,
and then began to circle him. He looked it in the eye. Its eyes were dark,
within them burned a fell fire. It was waiting for a show of weakness, any
weakness. But Outlander did not wait for it to strike. Unarmed though he
was, he plunged at the wraith, the copy, the fell image, and struck it full
in the chest with his shoulder. It was stunned, and was unable to use its
blade. Outlander gave it a blow under the jaw. Another light flashed and
the Shadow of Himslef fell back in flames. It hit the ground and did not
rise again. It was easier than he expected.
He saw alight in the corner of the chamber. It was a blade. The Blade. The
Blade of Light. He grasped it. He had the last power he needed.
Outlander thought upwards. Diex had driven another stunning blow into Armageddon's
chest. Victory had seemed near. But Armageddon had risen up and continued
fighting. His blows came fast and furious. He had driven one to the side
that made the very ground shake, and another into Diex's blade that made
it burn like fire. Diex had fought bravely, but soon began to falter. Now
he saw one last chance. He drove at Armageddon and swung his weapon at the
monster's leg in hopes of severing it. The blow went true, but did not sever
the leg. Armageddon roared, and hurled Diex away. The brave soldier tried
to continue fighting, but he had already fallen. Outlander saw that Armgeddon
was preparing to finish the soul of the fallen general off.
"This is turning out to be one heck of a long day," Thought Outlander.
He lifted his blade to the worlds and plunged upward into the worlds we know.
He landed to Armageddon's left, in his blind spot. But the creature of course
sensed him at once. He turned and laughed.
"You cannot stop me fool," he laughed. "My might is great and growing stronger!"
Outlander looked him in the eye. They struggled for a minute. But Diex slowly
rose from his place on the ground. He charged at Armageddon and drove a blade
deep in his leg. Armageddon roared. Outlander hurled himself at the creature's
chest. He drove his blade hard in. Armageddon fell to the ground. The floor
of the chamber began to fall faster and faster.
When the dust cleared, Outlander looked at his surroundings. They had fallen
down into the under realm in the same mysterious place Outlander had been
before. He saw Armageddon rising from a pile of rubble. Diex lay at the egde
of the void that descended along the sides of the path. Outlander hoped he
had the sense to hold onto the path. Armageddon began to walk toward Outlander.
Flames leapt from his nostrils. His eyes burned with an infernal flame. His
hand clasped a great nameless blade. His body grew to dimensions that dwarfed
even the greatest of the Ragnorok Giants. He locked his wrath onto Outlander.
He smote the path with his blade. Outlander struggled to keep his balance.
He leapt high into the air and struck at his foe's head. A flash of light
seared into the enemy's face. Armageddon fell back, wailing. Outlander drove
another hard blow into the massive form at the knees. Armageddon lost his
balance, but struck a blow at Outlander. He flew across the void, and struck
the ca
Outlander felt himself begining to lose his power over the situation. He
had to maintain control. He had one advantage falling, deep and forever beneath
the world. He could clearly see and sense the flaming wrath of his foe. But
Armageddon could not see him.
"Show yourself, fiend!" Armageddon screamed in panic.
Outlander Laughed. Armageddon was fearing. He had lost his head. He didn't
know what to do.
"Die you fool, a thousand curses! May you eternally burn in the pits of Tartarus,
where neither light nor darkness can find a home!" The Monster railed on.
"I fear you not, I am the stronger! I will never die! You will fall, but
I will continue," Armageddon babled on for a time and then changed tactics.
"We should not be foes. We, the mightiest of all could overthrow Dark, the
Titans, and the gods. We could rule for all time, mightiest of immortals.
Think of the power. The good you now desire you could do. No longer a servant
of the gods, the gods would serve you. No, I will give you all power. I will
be your servant. You will rule the universe alone. Forever. Choose wisely.
Do not choose the path of pain."
Outlander did not reply.
"Speak to me fiend!" Armageddon cried out in desperation.
Then Outlander saw the one chance he had. He decided to reply to Armageddon.
"You ask me to join you. You swear you will give me power, might, even service.
But I ask you, why? Have I desired these things. I know what they would do
to me. Even you were not always evil. But power darkens the finest of mortals
and immortals alike. Even I am not above corruption. You tell me to avoid
the dark paths. Long have I wandered in them, yes, even by your hand. I hold
no hatred against those ways. It is not for me to choose my paths. If the
path of pain is the one appointed, so be it. I must only act upon it. I cannot
avoid my fate without becoming evil like yourself. I will not join you. No,
I will die first."
And with that Armageddon flew at Outlander. But he had grown inept at the
use of his will for movement. Without ground to stand on, his attack was
not as effective as he calculated. Outlander had counted on this. Rather
he spun around the diving monster, and landed securely on his back. He plunged
the Blade of Light between Armageddon's shoulders. His foe screamed in pain
and desperation. He reached for Outlander with his massive hand, but the
ancient soldier was ready. With the dexterity of his fathers, he leapt from
the foothold he had on his enemy's back and, with one blow, severed his hand
from his body.
Armageddon screamed. But Outlander was now falling by his side. With the
hand he still had, the monster swung his massive blade at the warrior. Outlander
saw the sword coming and tried to ready his blade. It only partially deflected
the blow. Outlander felt a searingg pain through his body. He released his
blade. Malice itself had struck him. He writhed in pain and let out a moan.
Armageddon laughed. Outlander now stood in front of him. He rose his weapon
for a final, deadly blow. Outlander gave up hope. He closed his eyes
At once, he seemed to be in a dream. He was standing, alone in a field. Suddenly,
he saw a thousand innocent men, women and children going about their daily
work. It seemed peaceful enough. But something was not right. The people
were not happy, but terrified. He saw Giants, Titans, wraiths, minions, shadows,
echos and other unnamed evils tormenting the world. And then he saw him.
Dark. Alone. Crushing the world. With power he stole from the souls of the
great generals, and Outlander himself. Then Outlander saw the means by which
he ruled. Armageddon. The black hand that now stood poised to crush him also
stood poised to crush the world. He saw the moon move from its orbit -- what
could this mean? He opened his eyes. He knew what he had to do. But how?
All was truly lost. There would be no freedom.
The titanic sword swung. But both warriors had forgotten Diex, and he had
other plans. He had flung himself into the pit after the two combatants.
Now he had caught up with them. He plunged his blade deep into Armageddon's
Fiery eye. The monster bellowed a great, almighty cursing cry. He clawed
at Diex hopelessly. Outlander saw his chance. He dodged the ill-aimed blow.
He grabbed his blade, falling into the abyss a few feet away. He felt his
power rising. With a mighty battle cry from the days of his youth he propelled
himself with incredible velocity. His body, his blade and his eyes burned
with a blue fire that lit the void above and below. He spun madly toward
Armageddon. He struck the fiend in the chest and tore right through. The
flames leapt from Armageddon's back and burned into the walls of the pit.
The fiend was finished.
When Outlander left Erebus, Diex walked to the vaults of Erebus. He entered
the room of Hades.
"The final battle is coming. I need the Underworld army." Diex said. "And
why should I bother to give my army to a demi-titan?".
"Because I worship you along with my living troops and because if you don't
then there won't be anything from your realm". Diex described the situation.
Hades changed his mind almost immediately. "I shall give you; 500 Spartan
Hoplites, 600 Agriadones Toxotes, 1000 Arkadian Unfsarks, 500 Phrygian Toxotes,
400 Macedonic Hetairoi, 100 Centaurs, 100 Manticores and 200 Cyclopes."
"Now go to finish the job along with the others." Diex did as Hades told
him. In Erebus, the great realm of Hades, the army of Dark was already summoned.
There were millions. At least 2 million of Axemen, Spearmen, Hersirs, Berserks,
Jarls, War Elephands and beasts like Serpents, Hydra's, Anubites, Collosi,
Sphinxes, Battle Boars, Minotaurs, the dragon Nidhogg and some Scarabs. All
of them were about 3 500 000.
"My army has been summoned. The final battle will begin. My countless puppets
will annihilate all." said Dark who just had recently interrupted the general's
waiting. "Armageddon may be dead but the fool was of no use to me... I will
say this generals. I have destroyed the lives of billions of forms across
the stars. Earth will so fall...First you were a threat now you are a..menace
and possibly a...fear," said Dark's voice.
" Dark, you fool we've handled your pathetic minions before..." said GOS.
"AHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAH!!! You may destroy my puppets but I’d like to see you
handle ME!" said Dark, menacingly. The generals then left the Fortress of
Dark.
"We shall wait for IF." said Flames...then the generals stared at the moon
that was seemingly 50 times larger than before...
Before the final battle as the enemy marched through the dense caves to the
field of battle, the forces of Diex started skirmishes with Dark's troops.
Between two hills, the forces of Diex hit the rear of the Dark force and
retreated. Finally the enemy was in front of them. Diex took an offensive
position 400 meters away from Dark's troopers. The rest of the generals were
coming... all down here in Erebus.
