This Genealogy Report of the Descendants of William McDormand & Mary McIntyre has been limited to the first six generations to protect the privacy of living family members and to keep the size manageable. If you want to surf through the information follow the links to the various generations. You can start here with Generation 1 or using the link buttons you can start on any generation. Explanation of the Numbering System  used for the Family Tree Portion of this web site:

1. The small number that appears after a person's first names indicates the the Generation of that person starting from William McDormand & Mary McIntyre.

2. The small number that appears usually after a date or location indicates there is source information or comments about this fact.

3. The number to the left of a family tree member indicates a unique number for that individual and can be used to help locate that individual in this web site.  In the example below Jane McDormand was given number 7 in the previous Generation when she was listed with her parents.  She was so numbered to tell you that she has descendants and will be found listed as person number 7 in this generation.  Her daughter Mary will be listed as Number 32 in the next generation.  On the other hand Jane's son Robert has no known descendants and therefore was not numbered and will not appear in the next generation.

4. To further help you navigate I have placed below a Table of Contents for the Family Tree portion of this web site. As an example in Mary's case she has been given number 32. You can take this number and check to see which page this person appears on in the next generation.  In this case Person Number 32 appears in group of person's numbered 24-34 and as such can be found in Generation 4 on page B.

5. The small number (in purple in this example) identifies that this fact has additional source information.  Using this number go to the bottom section of the table of contents to find the Endnotes/Sources page that contains the fact for that number.

7.  JANE³ MCDORMAND (ROBERT², WILLIAM¹) was born Abt. 1766 in Annapolis Co., NS, and died January 19, 1856 in Smiths Cove, Digby Co., NS¹.  She married JAMES ROBINSON October 01, 1789 in Digby Co., NS².  He was born Abt. 1765 in Annapolis Co., NS, and died May 1826 in Digby Co., NS. 

Children of JANE MCDORMAND and JAMES ROBINSON are:

32.               i.    MARY F⁴ROBINSON, b. June 11, 1795, Digby Co., NS; d. October 13, 1864, Gordon Co., GA.

                   ii.    ROBERT ROBINSON, b. September 26, 1797; d. Unknown.

33.             iii.    MARGARET ROBINSON, b. Abt. 1802, Digby, NS; d. Abt. April 1889, Roop's Point, Digby Co., NS.

                  iv.    WILLIAM ROBINSON, b. January 21, 1806; d. Unknown.

34.              v.    MARTHA M ROBINSON, b. October 03, 1808, Digby Co., NS; d. February 22, 1846.
