The LDS website records her as Carrie Houghton Phillips, daughter of H Houghton, getting married to Captain F McDermand on December 2, 1898 in Marine City, St. Clair Co., MI. He is apparently the son of Chas. McDermand & E Moon.
Charles (Chuck) Nicolas McDermand About Jan 13, 1913 - Dec 11, 2000	Charles was married to Velma (who died in July 1998) and had 3 children: Barbara (Kohl), Liz (Roung) & Charles (Sep 21, 1941 - 1995). At the time of his death he was living in Windsor, ON. His obituary refers to sisters Ila & Thelma and a brother Robert.

He was born about June 1788 in Nova Scotia and died September 25, 1847 in Port Burwell, Elgin Co., ON. This marriage produced 12 children: Caroline, Mary Ann, Sarah, Charlotte, Eliza Jane, Francis, Holland, James, Joseph, Nelson, Sidney & Stephen. We have only been able to find information about the first 3 girls and nothing on the other 9 children. Caroline married Henry Edison; Mary Ann married Thomas Edison (no not the one you are thinking of but certainly related); Sarah married Richard McCurdy. Does anyone have any information about this family?
Emma Ann McKay 1847-1921 & Moses Washington Savary (Savory) Dec 21, 1843-Jan 26, 1926	Emma & Moses had 7 children Norah M, Emma A, Agnes E, Jonathan M, Annie J, James M & Budford Wallace Savary. I have some information about James & Budford but nothing on the other 5 children. It appears they moved to Essex Co., MA around the the turn of the century.
