We can offer you large quiet rooms, a home away from home. Our house has a splendid view of the Rocky Mountains, and all sorts of wild life still exist here.We are located in the SW part of Calgary, in the foothills, but only 20 minutes from downtown.For the tourist Calgary is the starting point of many exciting destinations: The Rocky Mountains, British Columbia, Alaska and the USA. As Ineke is an experienced tour-guide for the Rockies, she will be able to give good advice for your trips.For the businessperson we offer business services such as a computer, fax-machine and access to the internet. Springbank Bed and Breakfast is located in the outskirts of Calgary in the rural area called Elbow Valley View ( map). Our house is built on a hillside. The large guestrooms have little patios. We also have a smaller guestroom, which is suitable for children. All the rooms have private bathrooms. For the rural touch pigeons and Bantam chickens.For the convenience of our guests we offer a tv, radio and a coffee maker in the room. Our location is close to Highway 8 to Bragg-Creek (30 min.) a charming artisan town, and Highway 1 to Banff National Park (60 min.) In the area are several shopping centers, good restaurants and a large movie theater with 10 cinemas. The Westside Recreational Center (Swimming Pool, Gymnasium, Skating Rink, etc.) is about 5 min away. The Calgary International Airport is a 30 min. drive, several golf courses and a driving range are close by (10 min.). Calaway Park is a theme park in the Springbank area, an excellent day out for the kids and parents alike. As is Heritage Park, only 15 min. away from our B&B. We are a member of the "Rocky View Partners in Tourism" and the Alberta Hotel and Accommodation Assn. You can find us in the B&B section of the Accommodation Guide. Our B&B is open all year round. Check in time is after 3:00 PM, check out time is noon. Our rates are $75.00 / $125.00 for double occupancy and $60.00 / $105.00 for single, payable by cheque, cash or traveler cheques.
