From as early as the 1520's our "Debney" family roots begin in the county of Staffordshire, England; namely Gnosall which is very close to the Shropshire border. In approximately 1750 our direct line, "William Debney" moved to Shifnal, Shropshire, which is less than 10 km away from Oakengates/Telford.
