The "Beard" family name originated in Lanarkshire, in the Scottish English Border Ridings and traces their ancestral roots back to Strathclyde Briton origin. According to the Harleian Manuscripts housed in the British Museum in London, England, "Beards" were found in Buckinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire and Sussex. Our Beard family originated from the county of Shropshire, England; namely Wrockwardine. This homepage contains only two "Beards" in the early to mid 1700's. |
