The name "Veenkamp" is derived from two words in Dutch: "veen" which means "peat"; and "kamp or camp" which means "field". "Veenkamp" is a field where peat comes from, or a "peat bog". Our Veenkamp family originated from the province of Groningen in the Netherlands; namely Ten Boer and Stedum. In addition to residing in Stedum, our "Veenkamp Family" have lived in Bedum. |
