Our Broekema family originated from the area of "Broek" in Groningen, Netherlands. The family name "Broekema" was chosen in connection with the village "Broek" which is near Eenrum. Our direct line of "Broekema's" have descended from Broek, Kloosterburen, Weirhuizen, Westernieland and the most current "Broekema's" were from Baflo. |
