Cinquains

 

Cinquains are fun to write.  They are light, playful five line poems.

They have a particular structure.

Line 1 is a two syllable word.
Line 2 has four syllables that describe the subject .
Line 3 has six syllables that show action. 
Line 4 has eight syllables that express a feeling or make an observation about the subject.
Line 5 has two syllables that describe or rename the subject.
