Jerusalem
In this series of work I portray the city of Jerusalem as a city of contrasts. The paintings reveal the polar oppositions of the light and the dark, the old and the new. The visual dialogue is created by an interplay between two layers; the painted background in oil color and tar applied by a trowel and a sheet of Plexiglas which carries an overlay of transparent photo and drawing with tar.
