Andrey Barbashinov remembered
On July 26th, 2001, Andrey Barbashinov, Kazkah climber on an exchange to the USA, died in a motorbike accident in Utah. This article is to remember our short time together in the Tien Shan, when old met young, and east met west, and capitalist met socialist, and we found so much in common. |

This article appeared in the Fbruary 2003 edition of Island Parent, and described four field trips, all located close to each other on Sidney's waterfront on Vancouver Island, that were both educational and fun for school classes. |
