I am simply hoping to create some awareness. Sometime towards the end of the year, when the writers are voting, I hope to have a large amount of signatures, and will then send links of the petition to some of the media to show how many fans believe Rice is deserving of the Hall, and hopefully sway some undecided voters into giving him a vote.

If you think he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame, please take a minute to sign the petition. All you need to do is type in your name, and optionally an e-mail address which can remain confidential (i.e., noone including me can see it). I also ask that you send your friends a link to the petition (Please, no spamming. Only send it to fellow baseball fans who may have an interest in it), and make reference to this in relevant message boards, etc. Feel free to post links to this site or to the petition on any website (please, no adult or other inappropriate sites) that you have access to.
