| _____ | Total Score |   |
This scale has proven to be a remarkable predictor of physical and mental illness for a two-year period after the accumulation of the stressors. It's important to distinguish here that this test does not indicate that you will have illness if you score highly on this test, only that you are more susceptible to it if you score highly. It's an important distinction to make.
0-149  Low susceptibility to stress-related illness.
150-299  Medium susceptibility to stress-related illness. It would be a good idea to minimize other changes in your life right now.
300 and over  High susceptibility to stress-related illness. It would be a very good idea to minimize other changes in your life at this point, and work hard at starting and maintaining some stress intervention techniques.
Again it is important to emphasize that scoring highly on this test does not mean you will definitely develop illness, it simply means that you are much more pre-disposed to illness and disease than someone who has scored low on this scale.
