Note: Regarding a correspondence with Rosalyn Kinnear a researcher with the "Aberdeen and North East Scotland Family History Society" (ANESFHS). She has checked the 1851 census and John is aged 46 years living at Burn Side, Kincardine O'Neil, and born in Lumphanan. In 1861 census Elizabeth is a widow living with her son Peter at Burn Side.

For sometime, I had a hunch it was the correct relative, but not having enough supporting information, I was not able to make a decision as of yet, until the Scottish census' from 1841 to 1901, had all been looked for and until I got a

1. Up until the 1851 census John is alive, from the 1861 census and from there hence forth he is not listed and his wife is listed as a widower. so, John has died sometime between those dates.

2. I have had this death certificate, the person death date is in the window and his age at death (57) puts him being born in 1803. He was baptised in 1807 Lumpahanan.

3. Buried in Lumphanan churchyard with his brother Peter and his wife Elizabeth. I was able to get a photo of the grave site with the monumental inscription from a local genealogiest in Aberdeen. Alas, the inscription has weathered poorly and is difficult to read in whole, John's vitals read poorly and Elizabeth's vitals are disirable put the place of death reads poorly also.

4. There is no couples in the towns or area of Kincrdine O'Neil and Lamphanan that were married with the names of John Berry and Margaret Berry (nee Berry). This should have read John Berry and Jean Berry (nee Thomson).
