Vladimir Lashin
Women's Head Coach
Vladimir Lashin is a professional gymnastics coach with more than 20
years of coaching experience. He has been a member of Central Sports Club
of the Army (CSCA) and Zenith Gymnastics Club of Moscow from 1964 to 1978.
In 1975, he was awarded the title " Master of USSR." Between 1978 and 1983
he received further training from State Centre Institute of Physical Education
and Sport of Moscow. Mr. Lashin attained outstanding achievements at many
National and International Championships during past years. After coaching
for 14 years in Moscow and Moldova, he relocated to Australia to continue
his coaching career. From 1991 to 1995 and from 1998 to 2000 he was Senior
Coach at Victoria Sports Institute of Melbourne, Australia. In July of
2000 Mr. Lashina relocated to Canada and joined Omega Gymnastics as Head
Coach.
Svetlana Lashina
Women's Coach
Beam and Choreography
Svetlana Lashina has more than 20 years of coaching experience in the
field of women's gymnastics. From 1965 to 1975 she attended the Sports
School of Olympic Reserve. In 1975 she was awarded "Master of USSR" and
was a member of Moldova's National Team. After coaching for 11 years in
Moldova, Ms. Lashina relocated to Australia to continue her coaching career.
From 1991 to 1995 she had was Senior Coach at Victoria Institute of Gymnastics
as well as Ballet Coach and Choreographer for the State of Victoria. From
1995 to 1998 Ms. Lashina was Senior Gymnastics Coach at Frankston City
Gymnastics Club and 1998 to 2000, Senior Coach at Frankston City Gymnastics
Club. Ms. Lashina was appointed Women's Coach at Omega in August of 2000.
