Anyone in Eastern and Central Ontario, Quebec, New York State - or anyone else who doesn't mind the drive - who is interested in participating in or helping to organise a weekend Tasar meet in Deep River, Ontario in the summer of 2005, please or write Paul Jones at Box 103, deep river, Ontario, K0J 1P0.

Deep River is 200km (120 miles ) from Ottawa, West/North-West on the Transcanada Hwy. It is 2 hours drive from Ottawa, 3 hours from Kingston, 5 hours from Toronto and 4 hours from Montreal or Syracuse, New York. The Ottawa River is a mile wide here, with 10 miles of navigable length, it is 300 feet deep, with interesting wind conditions. There are reasonable launch facilities; a marina plus two other slipways, with plenty of free parking and plenty of clean sandy beaches and wilderness-type scenery. The meet would be organised and run from the (licensed) premises of the Deep River Yacht and Tennis club at the local marina. There are several clean and inexpensive motels and restaurants in the area, camping is also an option but depending on numbers, it may be possible to arrange accomodation in local homes."
