Ram Fire International Inc. is a wildland fire investigation company. Although recently incorporated, Dr. Paul M. Woodard, the Principal at Ram Fire and the Director of Science, has been active in the wildland fire area for almost 40 years. Dr. Woodard has investigated and determined the origin site and cause of a number of wildland fires. He has worked for railway companies, private individuals, insurance companies, and a number of small firms which work for forest industries and oil and gas companis. He has also provided opinions on damage loss values if any as a result of burning or other disturbances. He has opined on fire suppression costs when a company wants to be sure the expenses charged by the billing agency are justified. He has provided expert testimony in Canadian (Alberta, British Columbia) and US Federal courts on a number of fire-related as well as other general tree damage cases. However, many of the disputes he has been involved with were settled out of court. Dr. Woodard has served as a wildland fire-related resource to many US government agencies (i.e. USFS, BLM, US F&W, and FEMA) as well as government agencies in Canada, China, Thailand and Spain. Dr. Woodard has served as a wildland firefighter on fires in Vermont, Oregon, Washington, and Alberta. Additionally, he has acted in positions of Sector Boss and Dispatcher.
