***We do not include the de-clawing, as some people prefer not to have their Servals de-clawed. Please let us know if you want the procedure done at an added cost of  $650.00. Our vet is absolutely great with de-claws; it is done with laser, without bleeding, and healing occurs within 2-3 days. It is best that de-claws are done when the cub is young, as they heal better and faster.  De-clawing is typically recommended for pet exotic cats.

Typical procedure:

1. Firstly, check your municipal bylaws to see if there are any exotic animal bylaws that prevents you from owning a Serval. Then, if you are allowed, please fill out this questionnaire (or just answer the questions in an e-mail to us) with your inquiry. This gives us an idea of where our cats are going and who they are going to.

2. Once we have reviewed your application (this usually takes 1-2 days), and are satisfied that you will be a responsible Serval owner, we will contact you to let you know that you have been accepted.

3. a. You pick out a cub and send us the purchase price of the cub. We accept personal checks, money orders, e-mail interac, bank -to-bank wire transfers. There are a lot of scammers out there, so check out my FAQ page to ensure that you are not being scammed. We are the only legal Serval breeders in Canada.

    b. If there is no cub available, you can send us a 50% deposit to get on our waitlist. This ensures your spot and cubs are offered in order. You can pass and wait for a different litter (some people know they want one, but aren't quite ready for one, so they send a deposit to remain on the list, and be first on the list when they are ready for one). Once you send a deposit, your price is guaranteed, and if there are price increases, your price would stay the same. Once you do pick a cub, the remainder of the purchase price is due.

    c. You can be added to our e-mail list, and every time we have a litter, I will send you a notification that we have a new litter. But, this does not give you any priority over anyone else that may inquire at the same time, and the price is not guaranteed to be the same as when you first inquired.

4. I send you the care manual so that you know how to prepare for your cub, and a written sales contract, which you sign and send back to me. Please let me know if you want to see this before purchasing, and I can send you an electronic copy.

5. I book travel for to deliver your cub.  It is expected that you pick me (or my husband, depending on our schedules) up at the airport, house me for one or two nights (depends on the flights), and return me to the airport. While at your place, I will look to see if anything else in your home that needs to be serval-proofed. I will show you how to clip your cub's nails, clean their ears, how to prepare their food and feed them, as well as anything else you need.
