These Social Networking Sites attract daily attention from the major Search Engines, who, unknowingly include both dead and incorrect links within their own search results.

We have always encouraged and welcomed promotion of our website via links to the Homepage. However external links to specific pages within the Surname and Photo Database become extinct every time we update our information.  This results in visitors who link directly to the database seeing either the wrong family, (an incorrect link)  or an error message from our server  (a dead link).

All of this resulted in our receiving so many complaints from those who seek to discover their family roots rather than just copy and paste bits of information, that we had no alternative but to remove the databases from the public domain.

We regret having to do this, as the database has been compiled over many years and has involved many thousands of hours.  Pages other than those within the database are not affected although we must remind everyone that the information contained within is subject to copyright.

We would like to remind all visitors to our site that Copyright is applied to either ourselves or third parties from whom we have the consent to reproduce.  All Photographs and Pages remain subject to copyright.  Please contact us for information if you wish to reproduce anything.
