Changes to the database
The database has been modified to show the sources for information
that relates to living
persons.
Below each entry is the
source from where it came. If there is just a number there,
example Source:146, then that is the number of an
individual on the data base who collected and provided us with the
information. Some information comes from published obituaries.
Source: obit At present the only other
source is from the Métis Cultural & Heritage Resource Centre.
Source: MCHRC
We are currently working on
a source information section. This will refer every name within the
website to the source. View Source page.
With the exception of some
information that relates to living persons, the website uses
information from sources available to anyone who
wishes to seek it out.
The database and all other
information will eventually be submitted to various archives and
libraries throughout Canada to ensure that it remains available in the
future.
