Graphic Organizers are structures or diagrams which visually represent information. They can be used in all phases of learning from brainstorming to generate ideas, for analyzing and organizing information to presenting findings.

Graphic Organizers can help when planning a project, collecting data, organizing facts, developing comprehension, analyzing and interpreting facts and ideas, brainstorming for creative ideas and presenting information to peers.  Visual learning techniques help students:  clarify thinking, reinforce understanding, integrate new knowledge and identify misconceptions.
