Starting Your First Web page
This page is intended  to point you to some resources that will help get you started creating your own web pages.   It directs you to answers to questions such as :

Well let's start by recognizing that it is no longer necessary for students to learn HTML in order to develop interesting and well constructed web pages. That is not to say there is no use for these skills. For the advanced student HTML, Java and the use of digital editor programs offer many shades of detail and precision. However, with development of  easy html editors such as FrontPage creating a web page can be accomplished using simple word-processing skills. Success in this endeavor is more dependent on clear communication skills,  accuracy and relevance of content and good design principles than on learning complex coding, machine or markup languages, as it once was.
