Yellowhead Woodcarving

             My name is Peter Patershuk and I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

I grew up in the Pacific North West of British Columbia. I was exposed to carving at an early age and did not realize my carving talents until I was over thirty.

Native art in my area ( Northwest Canadian Indian carving ) was being revitalized in the early sixties and I was exposed to some of the early works by native carvers in our area. I have been carving since 1988 and I am self taught.
