Are you curious about the meaning of "right wing"? Or what "drifting to the left" implies? Then Political Science 120 is the course for you! Pol. Sci. 120 examines the key political ideologies from the last two centuries: communism, socialism, liberalism, conservatism and fascism. The course will also study minoritarian ideologies like feminism and anarchism. As a survey course, Political Science 120 will introduce students to the essential elements of each ideology, including their respective conceptions of human nature, society, the state, and economics. The course will be conducted through evening lectures, discussions, extensive reading of original texts, short written response assignments, and a final exam.
