ORGANIZER AND INITIATOR

Co-Chair, Unitarian Church of Calgary Accessibility Project – raised $32,000 to install a wheelchair lift and build an accessible washroom. 1998 - 2000 

Chair, University Heights Playground Committee – raised $52,000 to buy playground equipment and co-ordinated 110 volunteers for one week to install the equipment. Completed Sept 1997

Organizing committee, Constituency Assembly Now! Constitutional conference, parallel conference to Canada West Foundation’s conference on the Charlottetown Accord, 1992

Blue Pencil Café and “My Favorite Magazine” contest – brought 22 top magazine and newspaper editors to meet the public at Harbourfront (Toronto), on behalf of PWAC, for the National Book Festival, May 1982

“Women and Media” seminar – brought about 70 representatives of local women’s groups to meet 15 women working in the media, at the Toronto Press Club, January 1981
