Notes: Healing skill is always used even for BLU spells. For the Gear Potency field simply add up the cure potency values from all your gear and insert that number into the textbox (Dia wand = 1%).

  • Normal: This is the default mode and just gives you the final cure based on what you entered (this assumes your selected day/wx effects all trigger).
  • BC: This will give you your base cure (it will ignore all equipment bonuses, daywx bonuses and divine seal you currently have selected).
  • BC Frac: This will give your un-rounded base cure. You can use this to get an indication if your cure is close to increasing (can be interesting to see if your cure 1-4 are close to actually changing).
  • Effic: This will display your cure (like normal mode), but will also display your cure efficiency (HP/MP).
  • All DW: This setting will show you all possible results for the given day and weather effects you have selected.
  • No Caps: This mode is for anyone who is wondering what your cure would be if there were no soft caps at all.

  • I haven't played FFXI since Oct 2010, but was notified by email of the cure calculation changes.
  • I don't know how many people even use this, but I tried updating it based on the link I was given (Cure Formula Changes). I take no credit in figuring out any of the new cure formulas.

  • Is the mp cost for Cure 6 (227) on wiki correct? Makes Cure VI look very MP inefficient.
  • I was only told that cure power was = MND/2 + VIT/4 + Healing Magic Skill. I do not know if it is all added up then rounded down, or if the MND and VIT components are rounded down before being added together (ya it does make a slight difference).
  • Edit: Was now told that the formula goes, Cure Power = Floor(MND/2) + Floor(VIT/2) + Healing Magic Skill, So I adjusted the formula accordingly.
