TROUT AND LIGHT SALMON FLY RODS

All Grantham rods have tungsten stripping guides and hard, chrome-plated snake guides wrapped in place with fine, colour-coordinated, translucent silk. A choice of thread colour is available on custom orders. All rods come with two tips, cloth bag and aluminum tube for protection.

Above is a typical Grantham cane rod with up-locking reel seat. This style of rod is made in lengths of eight feet, eight and one half feet, and nine feet.

Above is a typical 4-piece pack rod with sliding-band reel seat. This type of reel seat is used on all Grantham rods less than eight feet in length, unless otherwise specified.

DOUBLE-HANDED RODS

A typical Grantham double-handed fly rod is the model shown above: a hollow-built, 12-foot, 12-1/2 ounce, eight-weight, double-handed steelhead and salmon rod with locking ferrules. These rods have the look and feel of those wonderful salmon rods built in the "Golden era" of bamboo. Double-handed rods are made in lengths from 11'0" to 13'6".

Above is a spliced-joint. These joints must be taped together, but offer a one-piece action with lighter weight.

Above is a locking ferrule. These joints offer convenience for taking the rod apart, often necessary when traveling by vehicle between runs on a river.
