Album Notes

The American version of Help! was very unorthodox. The price was raised by a dollar, but featured only seven songs from the UK version, filling the vacancy with George Martin Orchestra instrumentals. The cover photo was rearranged so that (seemingly) Paul points to the Capitol logo. Also, the title track was preceeded by "The James Bond Theme" (this version was also included on the US version of The Beatles 1962-66) The Beatle music here is great and the film was a lot of fun, but this particular take is somewhat difficult to listen too given the disruption caused by the uninspired instrumental selections.
