Album Notes

This was the first album released by the Beatles in America on the Vee-Jay label.Introducing The Beatles featuring the same track list as Please Please Me minus Ask Me Why and Please Please Me. A later re-release featured the appearance of these two omissions but deleted Love Me Do and P.S. I Love Youfrom the list.

Because of poor promotion the LP was originally not well received. However, Sales picked up after the song listing change and the release of Meet The Beatles the following January. The album was subject to widespread counterfeit, and authentic, original versions are considered quite valuable. Vee-Jay made the most of this investment as the LP was ultimately released four times by that record company. Capital too would have a go at it a few years later.
