1982 KDX250

February 15, 2002

Check out the new page about my 1982 Kawasaki KDX250.

I wanted to add a few links here for motorcycle enthusiasts that I've found in the last month or so as I'm looking into the hobby (street riding) more and more.

Retailers, parts suppliers, repairs, accessories, insurance:

  • www.bomax.ca these guys are located in Burnaby, east of Metrotown, BC. They have an impeccable reputation for honest work going beyond the call of duty. Unfortunately through bcsportbikes.com they've received so much new business they are turning customers away because they're stuck in their lease for another year and can't expand. Doh!
  • www.burnabykawasaki.com these folks also have a good reputation and although I've never had my dirtbike there for repairs I've bought parts from them and they've always been friendly and honest.
  • www.rippracing.com these folks manufacture a few nice pieces, specifically their "FrameSavers" which are special plastic "pucks" that mount to the frame to prevent bodywork damage if you drop or slide off your bike even at speed.
  • www.ccpperformance.com all kinds of upgrade parts for various sport models.
  • www.libertek.com billet aluminum LED brake lights for sport bikes (aftermarket undertails).
  • www.aieonline.com/73/949.htm?37 1157 LED bulbs  $7.49
  • www.superbrightleds.com/1157.htm 1157 LED bulbs even cheaper
  • www.rumbleimport.com Canadian parts supplier including custom bodywork such as under-tail, huggers, etc.
  • www.megsonfitzpatrick.com/motorcycle.htm inexpensive comprehensive
    insurance, much cheaper than ICBC

I'll be adding more links here as I discover them. Ride safe!
