It's pointing out the skylight of my home office in a northern direction. If you see a blue sky it's sunny! Sometimes the skylight has dew on it in the mornings that can make the picture look like it's foggy outside when in fact it is not. I'm using a Logitech Quickcam Express. I got it for free from a friend but you can pick up an OEM version up for $50cdn. The resolution and contrast/sensitivity in low light is pretty crap. The pic above is 640x480 and looks much worse in my opinion. It is updated to the website every 30 minutes by ftp upload (when the software works!). If you've looked at this webpage/webcam picture for over 30 minutes and would like to see a new picture simply refresh the page in your browser. Originally I used the software and free trial webcam space that came with my logitech camera but it sucked. So I found the Pryme software which worked for a few hours and that crashed too. Now I'm trying Booru Cam V1.3 beta. It also is a much smaller program... we'll see how it goes. Get it below. update: so far all three software packages for uploading webcam images via ftp aren't reliable in win2k on a dual cpu machine. I'll let you know when I find something that works without crashing. Until then, you might not see the above picture refresh very often. Sorry! I have tried these FREE programs:
