The Plug After what seemed like ages, I finally headed out on my first visit to see the beginnings of what will be my 32-3 window body. It is very special, actually, and not just because it is "my car". It's going to be "Number One" on the production line. Dave (Bear Fiberglass) is putting in a lot of extra time to see that the plug is nothing but perfect. Here are some pictures of the plug "in progress". Here's Dave hard at work... no time to socialize!   ...and here's the plug almost a month later... This is just a stock firewall. I will be getting a recessed firewall.   Hopefully the next pictures of the body will be the finished product! Meanwhile, I've at least had the pleasure of having the rest of my car in my own garage. (My wife thinks it's a bit inconvenient, but I get a real kick every morning when I head out to work!) So here are some pictures of what it looks like in my garage. Notice the "custom carpeting" which the chassis is sitting on. A lot of people laughed at me, but I think it looks rather nice! By the way, the grill shell and the splash apron were my birthday presents from my wife and mother-in-law. Thank you very much, ladies! I love you both!
