February 2001 - Stage 6
The Tradex Show

Abbotsford Tradex

Hey there... a lot has happened since my last update in December... from "bringing the chassis home" with the help of my buddy, Neil, to cleaning it all up and sending it to the Tradex Collector Car Show in Abbotsford in February/01. You'll notice many changes in the photos - just because there was no website update in January doesn't mean I haven't been doing anything to the car!

So now let's fill you in...
The welding has been finished and the rear end is complete. The folks at Redi Strip in Delta B.C. got it all cleaned up and it looks great. Bill put a coat of DP primer on it and I can tell you it's like night and day. A few of my pulleys and brackets have been put on, as you will see in the photos, and I also have the shifter in place. Can you believe it!!! Plus all four tires and wheels are put on!

The car's all ready to head out to the show.
Bill's son, Neil, picked it up and transported it for me. Thanks, Neil!.

The Abbotsford Tradex Center

Well here's my favourite part of the display at Bill's B&N booth... my car!
The following shots are just different angles.

Check out the rear end.
If you look at the picture below, you will see the difference from when I first got it.

See what I mean!

The beautiful lady on the left is my wife, Nora, and she is talking to Dave Hemry of bearfiberglass.com. Dave is going to build my 32-3 Window fiberglass body. As a matter of fact he has already started it. He was showing his Vickey at the B&N display booth.

Well that's it for now...

The next update should be the brake lines and the fuel lines, maybe the mufflers and the pipes too... we will just have to wait and see!
