Not to jump in ahead of Peter here but he and I have had some
conversations and has indicated to me that my software was of
interest
to him. If you liked his ideas you'll probably like mine. I use
my
program on my conversion Maximat and it has been extremely helpful.
It is
complete interface between operator and one of the best machine
drivers
on market, Indexer LPT. I have in it many canned routines, file
generation, handling and run-back, all machine parameters configurable,
tool offsets table, auto-tool change, emergency tool change (can
stop
and jog aside during programming or run-back, change and re-qualify
tool;
the machine then goes back to the same place and line number and
continues), block recutting, etc. You can see some more features
on my
BelFab site, URL in tagline.
If you're interested in making a conversion, I will be happy
to try to
help. Ask me anything.
