I think $1100-$1200 US would cover motors, drivers, power supplies,
and
cables and software.
Additional stuff:
-486 MHz or old Pentium computer: I think I can find one for
free.
-pullies, timing belts and motor mounting stuff: $100
-three optical switches from Omron (EE-SX674) for homing of table:
$100.
Probably no point in these if you aren't going the ballscrew route.
-three simple limit switches for other end of each axis: $10
-ballscrews: can be up to $800 because the ends need to be
turned to the
correct dimensions for mounting
-parts to make ballscrew mounting assemblies $100
