Thanks for the information. I will have to look into the Ringspan collet
type coupling. I am not sure what that is. I have seen split keyway bushings
and imagine it is similar but without the keyway.

Is Ringspan a brand name? If not what are the brand names to look for?

I think I am going to use the Goodyear PD 3/8" wide XL belts and pulleys.
The are inexpensive and I think will suit me well. Sound good to you?

I found out that the support bearing at the end of the lead screws on my
mill are standard thrust bearing number 51103. I may use a different size
but do you think that trust bearings are a good choice to go with ball
screws?

(I am finally getting the little details worked out.)
