I just got off the phone with Thomson--Ouch!

Results in $US for zero backlash and 0.0005" in/foot lead accuracy ordered
directly from Thomson.

Precision Plus Ball screw 3/4" with 5 revolutions per inch $22/inch
Precision Plus preloaded ball nuts $736 each
end machining $300 per end

I need:
one 36" screw machined on both ends
one 18" screw machined on one end

total = $3560

in Canadian dollars that is $5162

Ouch! Any comments?
