There will be one service at 10 a.m. at St Edmunds until The Rector returns from his sabbatical in July 2010 Services at 10:00 in St. Edmund's use a variety of liturgical expressions including services on the Iona format, Book of Alternative services and newer liturgical expressions in the Gray Booklet. There is usually the involvement of a Eucharistic lay Assistant, designated Readers, and appointed leaders for the Prayers of The People. An Organist and Choir lead the music.
Services are held on Lasqueti Island at least once a month on a weekday. The Rector goes over and spends the day on the Island visiting parishioners and looking after any other pastoral concerns. On Thursday November 8, 2007, Bishop James Cowan visited the congregation of the Good Shepherd on Lasqueti Island. Many people from Parksville went over on the ferry as part of the excursion for the day. A worship service was held where the bishop talked to the congregation including the children of the parish
