  • The Truth in Any Memory: The Memories Reading the stories of fellow survivors of human cruelty can bring a measure of relief to people haunted by the emotional aftershocks of what they've been through. With this in mind, Veritas Programming has invited survivors to participate in this forum, which we call "The Truth in Any Memory." Within this forum we post pieces written by survivors and, whenever a piece's author so requests, provide an email link by which readers can correspond with the authors.
  •   Victim Services Victim Services is a direct service, research, advocacy organization serving the five boroughs of New York City. We operate extensive community and court based services for domestic violence, sexual assault, rape, child abuse, and assault victims as well as survivors of homicide. We operate hotlines for domestic violence victims, crime victims, and immigrants and offer mediation services. Victim Services is committed to violence prevention and conducts school based programs for youth. Current innovative efforts include working with managed care organizations and corporations around the issue of domestic violence. We have information, research, and materials on victimization, victim rights, victim assistance, youth violence, and prevention. Victim Services employs over 600 people in a variety of capacities from social workers to computer programmers. There are generally job openings in positions throughout the organization.
