I know if you've been depressed for a long time this can look like
I'm making light of what you're going through. What I'm really
doing is showing you another pathway out of the darkness. I don't just
offer platitudes. I offer specific instructions that when followed create
a very different experience.
Know this: you are always following these
instructions, every day you are following them. Perhaps before you didn't
realize you had a choice, or you couldn't see clearly enough to connect the
dots that have been connected here for you. But you are following instructions
on this page everyday and from this day forward it is your choice which instructions you follow.
Admittedly if you're in the habit of making the choices that lead to depression
it will take more of an effort to switch - but I promise you, the rewards are
well worth it.
I must warn you, some experts will tell you what
I'm suggesting simply cannot be done. I'm suggesting that means they've never
seen it done. I did it, so its very difficult to convince me it can't be done. This doesn't mean for a second that I think a person experiencing significant depression shouldn't seek help and appropriate helpful medication from their doctors. I'm for anything and everything that increases our ability to experience plenty of healthy happiness.
