Though not necessarily always within the world of bookarts, Jane's artwork often has a connection to it - whether it is typographic letterforms or type on fabric, the elements of design, art and craft flow through the work.

Whispers

Whispers hangs on the wall to hide the bedroom tv and the goddesses on the spirals come off easily - so you can wear one on a chain.Ê
These days the challenge Jane sets for herself is that of not buying any new materials - the background fabric was originally a dress - made from fabric Mieka brought from Gambia, the beads from a necklace her mother never wore, the leathers are scraps from binding projects and of course, the laces from garage sales!.
