After experimenting with different housing setups, including store-bought cages and a child's wading pool, we built our own 6'x4' wooden pen for the guinea pigs.

As the piggies aged, modifications were made to their living environment. The food platform was replaced with a food tray (no climbing required), and a couple of mattresses were added, for their comfort. Shortly before she passed away, Suzy was diagnosed with pelvic disease and advanced arthritis, which had probably started 2 years earlier when she refused to climb any more.
