Politics and Trade

The largest and most powerful nation is probably Kaergoth, due to its extensive trade relations. Though its merchants and traders work primarily along the Southern Ring, they have some ships that run out to Karnak and New Erandor, and sometimes even as far as Makaan. The Southern Ring, though, is a trade-driven alliance between Kaergoth, Daressun, Kepulaan, Quelimain, Agulhas, and Enscalinor, as well as some smaller cities along similar coastlines (look at the map to see what I'm talking about). As such, even non-members prefer to stay on Kaergoth's good side.
While Daressun is fairly friendly, the continually decaying situation in Atuesta drives a wedge into their relations with the Makaanans. Atuesta is technically a constituent of Daressun, and their problems often spill over into the nearest city - that being Makaan.
The whole world respects the will of New Erandor and the Empire, but with their power broken with the land, very few still listen. The Dwarves in Pyranor and the High Orcs in Morad-dûn have both shut themselves up tight, preferring to avoid contact with those outside.
To the east lies Karnak. They maintain friendly relations with New Erandor and Trinitar, but are otherwise fairly secluded. The large island that Karnak is situated on is mostly uninhabited other than the city itself and a few outlying towns. The area around Trinitar is similarly empty, except for a small halfling village. The only access to the western half of the island runs through a small mountain pass, and then through the woods controlled by Folinesti.
