The Makaanans

Favored Multiclass: Fighter, monk*
Alignment Tendency: Lawful neutral/good
The Makaanans are a strange race of humanoids hailing from the shattered moon. Their primary distinguishing
feature is their second set of arms, directly below their unusually broad upper shoulders. Makaanans are
heavily built overall, as well, and their culture has a distinct focus on personal strength and improvement (although
not necessarily physical). Otherwise, they have very humanlike features, just as their attitudes and aligments
vary almost as much as humans. In their short time on Pyraas, they have built a reputation as formidable opponents,
regardless of which field they choose.
Advantages
With four arms, Makaanans are able to employ a variety of unusual fighting styles. While it is mostly a matter of DM's discretion,
a fairly strong character should be able to manage such combinations as 2 longswords & 2 short swords, 2 small shields
& 2 short swords, tower shield & longsword & shortsword, or even a pair of 2-handed battle axes or a pair of bows. As monks, they
receive +1 damage on every attack, as well as a +1 initiative bonus.
Penalties
Any armor worn must be custom made, typically at a 15-20% cost increase (especially for custom fitted types such as
plate armor).
Makaanans are normally only proficient with one hand. However, they have access to the Multidexterity and Multiweapon Fighting feats.
