Lay of the Land

Previously, there were two continents on Pyraas, Anor and Suor. Anor was the largest, and is divided down the middle by the Mohorovic Mountains. On the east side was the center of the Darksbane Empire. The empire extended over the entire western half as well. To the southwest was Suor. Suor was comprised of trading nations, and was a land of spices and gems. While it was not directly a part of the Empire, is subjected to them when necessary. After the Shattering, though, the land was divided up into numerous smaller islands. For the most part, each island is governed by one or more separate nations. Most countries use whichever monetary system they previously did. Previously Anorian countries use the normal GP system, while Suorian countries use the following system of gemstone chips:
Diamond = 2 platinum pieces
Ruby = 5 gold pieces
Emerald = 5 silver pieces
Sapphire = 2 electrum pieces
Obsidian = 2 copper pieces

With regards to the sky, Pyraas had 3 moons: a small one with a cycle of about 6 days, a medium sized one with a cycle of approximately one month, and a third, larger one that takes nearly a year to revolve. The three only converged once every 2000 years or so, forming a strange arrangement nicknamed the 'eye of N'aitar.' During the Shattering, N'aitar destroyed the smaller moon with a massive blast of energy. Much of it was slammed into the sun, throwing its orbit off to the south causing massive climate changes. The rest was slammed into the ground around Morgaelin, which greatly expanded the nearby land. Some of the moon's inhabitants survived, forming a small colony on the coast which eventually grew into a large city.
