How do I change my display settings?

Follow these easy steps to change your display settings on your computer.  Not only will this site look better on your computer, but you may find that it offers more workspace in your day to day use of your computers.  If you don't like the settings, you can change them back using the same steps.  If you have any other questions just email me at mmspeight@cbe.ab.ca

 

 

Step1:

Turn on your computer

Step2:

Click on my computer.  It's icon looks like this:

Step 3:

Click on control panel.  It's icon looks like this:

Step 4:

Click on display.  It's icon looks like this:

Step 5:

You will see a window called display properties.  It  looks like this:

Step 6:

Click on the tab called settings.  You should go to a window that looks like this:

Step 7:

Adjust the screen area (on the right hand side) to 1024 by 768 pixels.  The little bar slides when you drag it to the right or left.

Step 8:

Click OK.  The computer will give a message saying:

Click OK.

 

Step 9:

When the computer finishes, your screen will be at 1024 X 768 resolution.  It will ask you if you want to keep the settings.

Click YES.  Remember, if you do not like the settings, (as they are smaller icons and writing) then you can click NO.  If you want to try it out for a while but decide not to keep these settings, then follow the same steps to take you back to your original settings.
