Nola Roberts, I am a descendent of a TAYLOR from Long Compton and have been collecting lots and lots of TAYLOR's but just cant put the right ones together.ÊMy mothers grandmother was Leah TAYLOR born in LC in 1832 to William and Mary but we cant find her maiden name so dont know if we have the right Mary.ÊLeah married Joseph NICHOLS or NICHOLES or NICHOLLS who committed suicide in 1873 in Chipping Norton.Ê My mothers father was Ernest Alfred born April 1869 and he married Dora Amelia COLE in Stanley in Feb 1891.ÊLeah and Joseph Nicholls lived in Ivy cottage Church Lane Chipping Norton and there were still two old spinsters living there in the 1940's.Ê

Richard Ratcliffe, I have RATCLIFFE connections back to 1808, TENNANT connections back to 1819 in long Compton, and before that to 1570 at Charlbury and Spelsbury, ROBINSON connections back to 1840 and before that to 1740 in Chipping Norton. And also my great-great Grandmother Ann TENNANT was murdered in Long Compton in 1875. I still have many lines to complete and would be delighted to hear from anyone connected with their kindred families.
