Timothy Patrick Grant. My Ggrampa was Herbert Edwin
GRANT 1870-1953. According to the 1881 Census he was in Gumstool Hill Workhouse along with brother Alfred John GRANT. They were born in Leighterton. Their dad was Samuel GRANT and mom was Ellen (BARRETT) GRANT. This much is confirmed. Unconfirmed surname possibilites are GREY and BOWMAN.

Jack Boxell, I am working on the family history of the
BOXWELL/BOXELL family and trying to trace our original ancestor back to England. The name may have been spelled Boxwell back in the 1600-1750's. I would like to know the history of Boxwell with Leighterton to see if there is a tie-in. Can you help me?
