Margaret Young, Looking for ancestors and descendants of Thomas SHURMER and Priscilla IVIN of Notgrove and Aldsworth. Thomas was the son of John SHURMER and Dinah CLARK and Priscilla was the daughter of John IVIN (of Quenington) and Ann MASON. Thomas and Priscilla married at Notgrove on 14 February 1819 and had four children (maybe more) between 1819 and 1829 --- John, John Ivin, Selina (who married Thomas LEECH) and Mary Ann (who married Thomas HOPKINS) Mary Ann and Thomas HOPKINS were my husband's great grandparents. Also the HOPKINS family all dates, Salperton.

Ben Evans, I'm looking for history of the CRIPPS surname. I've traced them from Cheltenham, to Caudle Green, to Colesbourne, and now it seems Winson. There are a lot of CRIPPS on Census info that give Winson as birthplace: I'm especially interested in James CRIPPS, born 17/8/1761. He is myÊgrt x 5 grandfather, and is proving troublesome (that runs in the family...!) He married Magaret DRAPER at Aston Blank 28/5/1787.Ê Any info would be much appreciated.

Peter Gray, IÊhave foundÊEdward COOK 6 born Hazleton on 1851 census and think he married the girl next door Mary Anne CURTIS 8 and they are the family at 5 Queens Terrace, Reading in 1881.and 125 Castle St Reading in 1901. Any info on any of this family would be appreciated, especially their son Edward 4 inÊ1881 born Abbeywood, Kent who I think went to America 1904 and returned 1905...if anyone knows of this family I have some other bits of info and would like to hear from you....

Marguerite Kozak and after much research find that my 3 x great grandfather was John MORRIS who married Priscilla. Their daughter Catherine was baptised on 26 Dec 1841 in Aston Blank. I am trying to trace the marriage of John & Priscilla and the whereabouts of Catherine in the 1851 Census.

Roger W. Alder, researching the ALDER family in Churchill (and in Shipton-under-Wychwood) into the 1770s. Earlier information from that area would still be welcome, of course!. On the MORRIS side, I know the family were in Cold Aston (Aston Blank) around 1800, and probably came from Great Rissington earlier. I am also now interested in the DAVIS family from Naunton before 1840.
