Joan E. Hunt (nee Hitchins): My connections are HITCHINS of Dursley, VERNON and BURLEY of North Nibley, VERNON also of the Guitings, Sandhurst, Arlingham and Barnwood, RICHINGS of Hawkesbury Upton, Preston and South Cerney, BURLEY of Newport and Berkeley - all of them 1600-1800 before my great-grandfather Frederic HITCHINS came to Melbourne, Australia in 1839 when marvellous Melbourne was just a village. The HITCHINS are my father's family, and the RICHINGS are my mother's. I would love to hear from anyone with links.

Kath Bonson. Richard PAIN & Elizabeth CHOWTER were married in 1803 in Berkeley. Their daughter Harriet was born in 1815 & married Charles HUMPHREYS at Berkeley on the 24th April 1834 - a witness was James HUMPHRIES. (In 1835 a James HUMPHRIES of Ham, Sawyer, was married to Sarah KNIGHT.) Charles & Harriets first son was baptised on the 24th August 1834 at which time Charles is described as being a shoemaker of Ham (Stone). By 1840 they had moved to Blakeney. Any leads on any of these people please?

Jack Perkins, My Greatgrandfather was born at Woodford, Gloucestershire, his name was Charles PERKINS, he was born during 1849. I got this info from the 1881 census, unfortunately I have come up against a brick wall since then, By the time of the 1881 census he had moved to Mynyddislwyn, Monmouthshire, was married and had seven children. Of his parents I know no more.
